After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will make their home in McHenry. Late Summer Wedding At St. John's Church In a late summer wedding performed in St. John the Baptist Catholic church at 3 p.m. on Sept. 19, by Father Leo Bartel, Diane Lynn Williams of 1912 W. Oakleaf drive, McHenry, exchanged promises of marriage with Brian John Behrens, 5717 George street, Richmond. In the church decorated with flowers made and arranged by the bride's mother and sister, the groom's uncle, Robert Bogard, sang the "Wedding Song" and "Ave Maria.';' Mr. and Mrs. James Williams of McHenry are parents of the bride. The groom's parents are Mrs. Lily Karls of 5717 George street, Richmond, and the late John Behrens. The lovely bride wore a white silk organza Queen Anne style dress, lined with taffeta, trimmed with Venice and chantilly lace, A- line skirt, fitted bodice, long chiffon sleeves, scoop neckline, trimmed in sequins and pearls. A chapel length train with gingerbread hem and wide brimmed picture hat completed the bride's attire. She carrried a Spanish lace fan of silk flowers belonging to her late grandmother and blue and pewter roses. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Liesa Weingart, Waukegan. Bridesmaids were the bride's sister, Patricia Perrewe and Peggy Borig of McHenry, the groom's sister Brenda Behrens and his cousin, Natalie Turk, both of Richmond. Their floor length gowns were of blue quiana with floral silesta cocoon Jackets. They wore blue lace picture hats nd carried lace fans with blue and pewter grey silk roses. The flower girl, Jacqueline Karls of Richmond, sister of the groom, wore a floor length gown of white organza flounced with chantilly lace and sash of blue and white satin ribbons. She wore a white lace pic ture hat. Serving the groom as best man was David Rudolph, Spring Grove. Groomsmen were the bride's brother, James Williams, McHenry, Tyler Weber, Richmond, the groom's uncle, James Freye, Signal Mt., Tenn., and Randy Norgard, Hebron. The bride's brother, Brian Williams of McHenry, was the ring bearer. The mother of the bride wore a blue teal chiffon dress lined with matching taffeta. The groom's mother was attired in a silesta floor length gown of Dior blue. A reception for 200 guests was held at the Johnsburg Community club at 5 p.m. Following a honeymoon in the Castle Rock area near Wisconsin Dells, the young couple will live in Wood stock. The bride is a 1978 graduate of McHenry high school and is employed as a secretary in Crystal Lake. The groom graduated from Richmond high school in 1977 and is a service technician in Woodstock. Schneider at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church, before an altar embellished with white floral arrangements and enhanced on either side with can delabra decorated with greenery White bows graced the ends of the pews. The Senior Choir sang "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring-' as the bridesmaids processed to the altar and later offered "The Lord's Prayer". Other solo selections were "My World". "Song of Ruth" and "Evergreen". The bride wore a floor length gown of white silk organza featuring a high Victorian neckline adorned with brussels lace. The sheer yoke of English net flowed into a capelet of Schiffli lace over the fitted bodice. The A-line skirt fell into a chapel length train, bordered in lace and en crusted with tiny seed pearls. The meeting will take place Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 7:30 p.m. at the Crystal Lake Ambutal The meeting is open to the public, and the program will be especially beneficial to parents of pre-schoolers. Both Barb Bryant and Mary Fetzner were elementary school teachers who received a grant from the federal government to develop a program of things to do with pre-schoolers that don't pressure the child or cost much money.
