Aero** From McHenry Stat* Bank 344-0170 Deaths JOSEPH FREUND Joseph E. Freund, 73, 2309 N. Riverside drive, McHenry, died Saturday, Oct. 17, at Sherman hospital, Elgin, 111. He was born July 22,1908 in Johnsburg, the son of Peter and Mary Lay Freund, Jr. A retired farmer, Mr. Freund was a 50-year member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Johnsburg Community club. On June /27, 1934, in Johnsburg. t he married Martha Hettermann Freund who survives. Other sur­ vivors are two daughters, Mrs. Fran (JoAnn) Sobic of Algonquin and Mrs. John (Catherine) Wirtz of Oak Park; seven grandchildren; and two brothers, Leo F. of Johnsburg and Harold F. of McHenry. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mrs. Frances Vogel and Mrs. Isabelle Stilling. Visitation was held from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Freund funeral home. Wonder Lake. A Funeral Mass was conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Mary's Catholic church, McHenry, with burial in St. John's cemetery, Johnsburg. SUSAN MCAULEY Susan McAuley, 89, 1613 Pine place, Clearwater, Fla. died in her daughter's residence Friday, Oct. 16. She was born Aug. 15, 1892, in Donegal, Ireland and came to McHenry after marrying James McAuley in 1925 in Chicago. She was preceded in death by her husband in July, 1978; a son James, in January, 1981 and a son Lawrence, in 1974; and 12 brothers and sisters. Visitation was Sunday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the George R. Justen & Son funeral home. A Funeral Mass was offered Monday, 11 a.m., at St. Patrick's church, McHenry, with burial in St. Patrick's Countryside cemetery. Memorials may be made in her name to the church. MARY LOWE Mary M. Lowe, 61, 5118 Willow drive, Wonder Lake, formerly of Richmond, 111. and Twin Lakes, Wis., passed away Tuesday morning, Oct. 13, at Sher­ man hospital, Elgin, 111., following a long illness. She was born June 13, 1920, in Louisville, Ky., the daughter of the late Ernest and An- nabelle Hail Gillis. On Dec 24, 1960, in St. Louis, Mo. she married Richard L. Lowe, who died Feb. 9, 1978. Mrs. Lowe was employed by the Modine Co., Ringwood, 111. for the past 10 years. She was a member of ; Christ the King Catholic church, Wonder Lake. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Nenemesiso (Genevieve) Michel, Wonder Lake and Mrs. Christine Lehnert, Columbus, Ohio; one son, William of Wonder Lake and three grand­ children. Other survivors are two sisters, Genevieve Gillis and Mrs. Bud Amann; and a brother William Gillis, all of St. Louis. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday^ft St. John's Catholic olfurch, Twin Lakes, Wis., with the Reverend George A. Nuedling officiating and interment in St. John's cemetery.
