No one was injured in the blaze that began in an upstairs bedroom but their children lost all their clothes and bedroom furniture. There is an urgent need for clothes since the kids were left with only the clothes they were wearing. Two boys wear a size 10, one wears 12 and the older boy wears a 26x29 pants and 16 shirt. The girl wears a woman's size 12. If you have anything to donate, please bring it to my home at 4709 Prairie and I will see that it is delivered to the Schooleys. CHIVALRY When Jackie Miller stopped by our house last week, she never thought it would be a costly visit As she was pulling out the driveway to leave, we thought her tire blew out, but it ended up being more serious. After parking the car right in the middle of our front lawn, these two helpless ladies could only stand there wondering what to do next. I never realized how many thoughtful men lived in the area until they started stopping to survey the damage and to see if they could help. Who said chivalry was dead? "Twain By* The Tale" Offering At Marian "Twain by the Tale", the fall production of the Marian Central high school Drama department, is scheduled for t w o p e r f o r m a n c e s , Saturday, Nov. 7, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m. The two-act revue is a sparkling collection of stories, sketches and monologues displaying the wit and humor of Marie Twain, recognized as one of Midwestern America's greatest authors. Adapted by Dennis Snee, the play centers on Twain, portrayed by Colin McCormack, from youth to old age. Members of the supporting cast include Mike Z e g a r s k i , T o n y Piwowarczyk, Kelly Hilgers, Fran A more, Ann Potje, and Brian Adams. Interlude music, composed by Gregg Saeger, is performed by Andy Belmonte. Interest in Mark Twain's wisdom and humor has escalated since the one-man production of "Mark Twain Tonight" enacted by Hal Holbrook on Broadway and later on television.
