Lakeland Park & Carol Cominsky YES Stickers Are, Displayed !*\ YES (youngs t e r s emergency service) of ficially began on Friday, Nov. 6 at 5 p.m., when I put the first sticker in our window. After a long six months of planning, my dream has come true. Ceil Serritella and I have delivered all the stickers to our volunteers and we found some streets where we don't have a block mother. If you live on Victor, Rogers, Knoll, Ramble, Spruce, Eastern or Central please call one of us to volunteer. Our goal is to have one on every block and we're very close to ac complishing that. The schools that Lakeland Park children attend plan to instruct the kids this week on what the YES sticker means. Being a mother, it gives me a secure feeling knowing that when my children are out and about in the neigh borhood, should something happen they will have a safe place to go to for help. TROOP NEWS Girl Scout Troop 320 was busy entertaining the people who attended Autumnfest at Valley View school on Saturday, Nov. 7. They put on three puppet shows throughout the day for everyone's enjoyment. The girls made all the puppets and stages for "Three Billy Goats Gruff", "The Gingerbread Man" lakeland Shores 385-7346 and "The Wizard of Oz". All this work helped them earn credits for a badge. Brownie Troop 464 held their investiture at their regular meeting last week. All new girls received their pins and were welcomed to the troop. Orange drinks and cake were served im mediately following the ceremony. 18 YEARS Debbie Grabo turned 18 years old Sunday, Nov. 8, and she celebrated her special day by going to a local restaurant for dinner with her family. Now that Debbie is 'legal' across the state line, "Watch out Wisconsin, here she comes!" BIRTHDAY GREETINGS A big "Happy Birthday" to our dad, John Cserep on Nov. 18. Paul Rogers has his special day on the 19th. Best wishes are sent to John Meyers, Gary Boelter and Gregg Braun on Nov. 20. Leanne Lindquist and Dottle Becker hear the birth day song Nov. 22. Richard Lindquist and Marilyn Nystrom add another year on the 23rd. Debbie Plulinski turns 14 Nov. 24 and she shares her day with Debbie Crago. ANNIVERSARIES Walter and Catherine Kozicki will be married 41 years on Nov. 21. Nov. 24 is the day Clar and Eleanor Hearle celebrate their 36th anniversary. Best wishes are sent to both fine couples.
