8 Wrestlers Tame 42-21 McHenry high school's wrestling team rebounded from its loss by Jacobs and defeated Crystal Lake Central 42-21 at East Campus Thursday night to gutta record back at the .800 The Warriors now have a 4-4 overall record and are 2-1 in the Fox Valley conference. Coach Marty Sobczak's team won eight of the 12 matches against the Tigers including five by pins en route to victory. Senior Scott Schmitt (138) had his winning streak extended to eight straight matches with a pin against John Wood. It was also Schmitt's fourth piun of the season. Sophomore Steve Carby (106) ran his record to 7-1 as he pinned Shawn Foley. Carby, sophomore Rick Connor (112), and senior Dan Clark (155) who also won by falls, are the team leaders in that category with five. By weight class, here are t h e i n d i v i d u a l performances: 98 lbs. Wrestling his first match in over a year, senior Eric Karpinski was pinned by Scott Feeney at 2:41. 105 lbs. Heavyweight Dan Mohnen was pinned by Gabel at 1:37. McHenry's freshmen team defeated Central 54-12, but the junior varsity team lost 45-22. The Code of Ethical Conduct's provisions are intended to prevent a con­ flict of interest or the ap­ pearance of such a conflict on the part of a Postal ser­ vice employee. Marine Is Deployed To Korea Marine Lance Cpl. Steven M. Brunow, son of Patricia A. and Harold E. Brunow, Sr., of 1463 N. Beach road, McHenry, has deployed to Korea to participate in a combined arms field exercise. He is a member of the 1st Tracked Vehicle battalion, on Okinawa. During the two-rr«nth deployment, his battalion will participate . in mechanized operations, night tactics, live fire exercises ^and cold weather training.
