The programs will be free of charge and audience par ticipation will be en couraged. Mayor Joseph Stanek will lead this City Government seminar which will explore such questions as: What is the proper dividing line between government and private action? What is the function of the planning commission and the zoning board? What are the com mittees within the council? How is the budget deter mined? Future seminars will be held on Feb. 15 exploring County Government; March 1, State Government; and March 15, the Judicial System, "Every individual has a responsibility for Un derstanding government, studying basic issues and expressing informed views" states Lynne Donarski, president of the McHenry B.P.W. ALBERTHA BROSSMAN Albertha C. Brossman, 4016 W. Lillian street, McHenry, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, in McHenry hospital. She was 58 years old, born in Baltimore, Md., Mar. 31, 1923, the daugher of Cristiaan and Louise (Peltzer) Koene. Mrs. Brossman lived in McHenry about 28 years, having come from Chicago. On Jan. 18,1947, in Chicago, she married Herbert Brossman who survives. In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters, Nancy Brossman of California, Melodie Brossman of Palatine, 111. and Michelle Brossman at home; one son, Duane Brossman of Island Lake, 111.; and four grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Walter Bunch of Westchester, 111. and Richard Bunch of Missouri; and four sisters, Mabel Carey of Tucson, Ariz., Barbara Henderson of Cicero, 111., Jerri Bulaon of Miami, Fla. and Mary Zotalis of Chicago. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Satur day at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home with Pastor Roger W. Schneider of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church, McHenry officiating and burial in Woodland cemetery, McHenry. Friends may call from 3 to9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family would like contributions to the Myasthenia Gravis foun dation. GLADYS M. MURRIE Mrs. Gladys M. Murrie, 83, mother of Mrs. Orville (Catherine) Andrews of McHenry, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, in Winchester Home, Libertyville, after an ex tended illness. Mrs. Murrie was borri in Illinois Dec. 1,1898, and had resided in Grayslake for more than 62 years. The deceased was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal church and the Ladies auxiliary of Legion Post 659, both Grayslake. Her husband, M.E. "Pink" Murrie, preceded her in death in 1965. She is survived by two daughters, Lucille Murrie of Grayslake and Mrs. Andrews; one son, John E. "Bud" Murrie of Grayslake; one sister; two brothers; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be announced by the Strang funeral chapel, 410 E. Belvidere road, Grayslake, at a future date.
