' McCullom Lake Dawn Miller 385-4901 Ordinances Discussed The second board m« of the month was hel< Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 8 p.m. at the beach house. One of the topics discussed was inoperative and unlicensed vehicles. These pertain to ordinances No. 71A and 78B which can be inspected at the clerk's office during hours. These vehicles must be kept in a garage, not under tarps or plastic, until they are running or licensed. A suggestion was brought up. Why not see if any of your neighbors or senior citizen residents who no longer use two cars, might be willing to rent some garage space. Not only would you be curing your problem, but it might help someone else out. There's An Answer (by Norman Vincent Peale and Ruth Stafford Peale) Something was lost Q. I read "Can't Let Go" in your column, and I had to write to you. You see, I too lost my husband - not to death but to another woman. I could have accepted death, but four years later I still cannot accept the affair. We are still together, and I have forgiven him. But to forget is something else. I have tried so hard. I loved him more than life itself, and I suppose I still do. I sometimes wander. This affair caught us by complete surprise as well as everyone else who knew of it He is a good, moral man, so to speak, and well thought of in our community. Something was lost between my husband and me since this happened. Is it at all possible that life could ever be the same again? How do f "Let Go" of those bad memories? A. It seems you have analyzed this tough matter very well indeed. If he has stopped the affair ana you have forgiven him, the next step is to relegate it to the past and look to the future. This is necessary to rebuild your marriage. How do ^ do it? Just decide to do so. Then refuse to dwell on those memories and fill your mind with positive, hope-filled images. We are sending you our booklet "How ToHve A Good Day Every Day" which may be of help to you. Any reader wishing a free copy may write to us at Box 500, Pawling, N.Y. 12564. Sunday morning hassle Q. This morning I wanted to take my two sons to Sunday school, but the six-year-old cried ana said how he hated Sunday school. This is how it is most of the time. He says he wishes he was big so he could stay home like his dad. So this t baby and I went to Sunday school. But then I e because the sadness I feel inside is terrible. When my son fusses I end up- mad at his dad. We start arguing, with me doing moat of the talking. I say things I regret later and feel very bad. I don't go to Sunday school regularly becauae of the wav I feel after the hassle. Do I force my son to go along? Or do I give him a choice of what he wants to do? I would just like to be able to enjoy life now aa a family because before we realize it our sons will be grown. A. While you are in such a state of stress there is little chance that you will accomplish what you want So your first taak is to work on yourself. Get inwardly quiet and allow God to give you His peace, to make you strong and patient and wise. Your positive attitude can create a relaxed and Joyful home atmosphere where each member of the family feels loved and accepted. Then cheerfully and firmly take your son to Sunday school and never mind ms protests. And who knows, in time your husband may want to make church-going a family affair. If there is something you would like to ask Dr. and Mrs. Peale, write to them atBox 500, Pawling, N.Y. 12564. Strawberry Shortcake by stride Rite Ms right. Strawberry Shortcake™ is here. At that time all letters will be presented at a children's hearing in the U.S. Congress and at the White House. The topics expressed most frequently by the children will form the 1962 Children's Agenda for Action.
