Fortunately, Don had his glasses on so the acid did not damage his eyes. Louise immediately doused Don's face with water to avoid acid burns. Don was able to get up stairs, but shock took its toll and he lost consciousness. Louise called the McHenry Rescue Squad for assistance. They responded immediately and took Don to the EE at McHenry hospital. The gash on his head was treated and after a thorough examination he was allowed to return home. Louise had to awaken him every two hours in the event of a concussion. Don is feeling better but the headache is still there. And the memory of the terror of explosion will be with them for a long time. f 0 Marion and brother Donald were joined by aunt Adeline, Debbie's godmother, aunt Evelyn, and godfather Fritz DeZutter and his wife.
