Before conducting the burincM of the village, village attorney, Donald Tructanbrod, swore in the newly appointed triatee, Ken Schafcr, who then took his place on the board. He was appointed to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of John Mied ziaixxwski. Residents of Lake Dawnwood subdivision fcere in attendance to hear plans for complete the final improvement* in their subdivision. Village engineers, Greengard and associates were on hand to give their recommendations to Repco Developers as .to what must be done. Residents of Lake Dawnwood sub­ division Homeowners association are concerned in seeing that all im­ provements are completed before the ponds and park areas are turned over to their association for future upkeep. President Mitchell is pressing the park committee to get the driveway and parking area completed before the July 4th dedication ceremonies and picnic. Landscaping is also being done. The little league has installed two backstops at the village property for use as practice fields. In return, the little league will maintain the grounds in the fields and park area. The park committee still has a couple of pieces of playground equipment to be in­ stalled at the playground. The next regularly scheduled meeting of the village will be held on June 1, at 8 p.m. at the village hall. DEDICATION AND PICNIC Plans are moving right along for the coming dedication of the village halL It wiO be combined with the annual village picnic and the date of the dedication is Sunday, July 4. Hot dogs, pop and beer will be supplied by the village and the residmts are aekad to fatjog a dish to pass. There'll be games and fun for all. Preceding the event of family fun at the picnic, will be the .dedication ceremonies for the hall. Though the hall officially opened in December of 1181, it waa decided by, the board to hold the deification in the summer " when weather was more appropriate for such an event. p As public relations chairman, I am asking anyone who would like to help p in getting prepared for the big day to please call me, Betty Meeeer, 385- 8023, to offer your services. All help will be greatly appr^c^ted. Thfre is a lot to do. This is a great day for reeidents of the village. You can come out and meet your village officials and also get a chance to meet your neighbors. We have new residents in the village who have never attended a picnic and this is your chance to get out and get acquainted. ANNIVERSARY This week's anniversary couple are Johanna and Edgar Hehn of Sun­ nyside drive. Their special day is May 29 and they will be celebrating 45 years together.
