Her matron of honor waa Bonnie Covey of Arlington Heights, and Karen Spitzbart, sister of the bride, served as bridesmaid, Mary and Julie Robers, sisters of the groom, alao served aa bridesmaids. Joy Sherman, daughter of the matron of honor, waa junior bridesmaid. The attendanta were identically attired in gowne of apricot qiana with accordion pleated skirts and bodices of peau d'eaprit and chantilly lace forming a mock cape. They carried natural colored baaketa filled with dogwood, jasmine and apricot roses laced with long apricot streamers. The groom's brother, Daniel Robers of Burlington, stood at his side as beat man. Groomsmen were Ronald Spitzbart, brother of the bride, Dennis Floeter of Burlington, Wis., William Vos of Silver Lake, Wis. and junior groomsman Michael Vanderhoef, son of the bride. The couple enjoyed a honeymoon trip in Dorr county, Wto. Prior to the wedding the bride waa feted with a miscellaneous shower given by her bridesmaids and another shower given by friends at In- termatic, where she is employed. The new Mr. and Mrs. Robsrs are presently making their home at the Robers farm, Route 7, Burlington, Wis., where the groom to engaged in farming with his father. Mrs. Robers to a graduate of Rich­ mond high school and Mr. Robers graduated from St. Mary's high school, Burlington, Wis. He received his Bachelor of Science In Dairy Science and Agriculture Buainees at the University of Wiaconain. Breit-Thiel Vows Exchanged St.» John the Baptist church In Johns burg was the setting for the July 10 wedding of Kelly Breit and Jamea Thiel. The Rev. Leo Bartel officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony. The bride is the daughter of William and Kathleen Breit, 5219 Woodrow, McHenry. Mrs. Betty Sieben of McHenry is the mother of the groom. His father, Allan Thiel, reaidea in Florida. The bride wore a white gown with a Queen Anne neckline, a pearl bodice, pleated center front panel and long lace sleeves. The hemline of the dreas, was trimmed in a small accordion pleat; the train, in lace. She wore A three-tier, floor length, lace-trimmed veil Her bouquet was made up of all silk white orchids, stephanotis and white roses trimmed with baby yellow roses. She wore "something old", a handkerchief from her Aunt Neva, "something borrowed", a pearl necklace ami earrings from a friend, Pam Bach, and "something blue", a blue garter. A coin in her shoe represented the year she was bom and another represented the year she married, plus sjx pence. The maid of honor, Patty Thiel of McHenry, and the three bridesmaids were dressed in long, pleated apricot qiana gowns with matching wide- brimmed hats. The attendants in­ cluded Kellie Fleming and Linda Thiel of McHenry Laura Breit served as junior bridesmaid. They carried bouquets of apricot silk roaea, daisies and baby breath. The flower girl, Wendy Weber of McHenry, wore a white buatled dreas of cotton lace with a hooped skirt. Flowered combs were tucked in her hair. She carried a basket of silk angel lace, daisies and star flowers. The flowers for the wedding were made by Pam Bach and Cindi Voigt, friends of the bride. The best man waa Larry Koenigseder of McHenry and the groomsmen were Jake Breit of McHenry and Ron Thiel of Florida. Jason Campo of McHenry served as junior groomsman and Robbie Buegler of Waukegan was ring bearer. Their attire consisted of white tuxedos with apricot ruffled shirts. Ushers serving were Dan Ullrich and Bill Breit of McHenry. The bride's mother wore a silver- trimmed ice blue street length dress with a silk white orchid corsage. The groom's mother was attired in a two- piece, mauve, street length drees and wore a light lavender silk corsage. A lawn reception at 4606 W. Crystal I-ake road, followed the wedding, with 175 gueats attending. The groom is stationed at Camp Pendleton, Calif., where he to serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. The couple will be making their home in Oceanside, Calif. Both Mr. and Mrs. Thiel are Johns burg high school graduatea, James in 1960 and Kelly in 1961. For County Fair Quken Candidates Set Record The domestic arts competition covers many categories, including quilting, applique, embroidery, knitting, crocheting, croas-stitch, tatting, sewing, needlepoint, textile painting, macrame and latch hook. Entry deadline for domestic arts to July 26. Entrants must be members olf the Lake County Fair association, or must purchaae an exhibitor's ticket to the fair, which begina July 26. For the first time Island Lake has an entry, swelling the total candidates to 15. Entriea are sponsored by local community organizations, and the candidates met with Dorothy Kleckner and her committee last week to learn rehearsal plans, determine the order of appearance and find out about other attractions planned for the contestants as "fun" experiences in this long established pageant. The Miss McHenry County pageant has been a feature of the fair since the fair was revived in 1949, Don Peasley, coordinator, said in discussing the record number of entries this year. The conteetanta will appear before the judges July 20 for the preliminary juding, appearing in swim suits and forma Is at the Chapel Hill golf club where Van Sells, veteran radio per­ sonality, will interview the candidates and introduce the sponsor representatives. Representing Island Lake in the Pageant - a first for that eastern community -- will be Nanoy Griffiths, 18, a 5-foot, 5-inch brown-haired, hazel-eyed beauty who graduated from Wauconda high school last month. Talleat candidate for Miss McHenry County is Marie Meyer, 5'10", Miss Woodstock. At 5'4", Lorie Lee, Miss Fox River Grove, and Lisa Wolff, Miss Union, are the netite contestants. Assisting Mrs. Kleckner and the committee with rehearsals was Julie Kutemeyer, reigning Miss McHenry County. The conteetanta will make radio and television appearances, participate in parades, and wind up their pre-fsir festivities with an ice cream outing in Woodstock, where Mrs. Kleckner, s former Illinois Dairy Princeaa, will boat the group.
