An "anatomical gift card" is printed on the back of all Illinois drivers' licenses. This csrd signed by the driver and two wit- nesses authorizes the donation of specific body parts upon the death of the cardholder. Additionally, the anatomical gift card will be printed on the back of the photo identification cards issued from my office as soon aa possible. Under this new law my office will also provide organ donor information pamphlets to all Illinois residents along with their regular drivers license renewal forms. These pamphlets carry basic information about becoming an organ donor and include an extra donor card. T h r o u g h t h e generosity of Illlinois drivers, this new program can help save the life or the sight of one of the hundreds of Illinois residents currently waiting for transplantable organs. Anyone, of any age, may be considered as a donor. All it takes is your signature.
