The plants are growing in garden plots. One is in front of the college greenhouse, another is on the hill behind the Applied Science building at the rear of the MCC campus and a third is north of the Applied Science building. The students did everything from testing soil and germinating the seeds to transplanting work and building the raised beds for the garden plots. The students are studying the plants to measure flowering rates, size, resistance to disease, color and en vironmental responses. / Now is a good time to visit the gardens to see many of the plants in bloom. In the fall the college will conduct evaluation sessions with representatives from two seed companies and local residents are also invited to attend thoae sessions.
