Congratulations BJ on s job well done. BIRTHDAY PARTY Amy Harwell celebrated her sixth birthday Thursday afternoon, July 29, with a party. Guests included cousins from Chicago and Minnesota and friends Todd and Ashley Laaco, Abbey Christensen and Jason Glaser. With all these friends and relatives, a good time was had by all. BEACH GALS MEETING Eleven ladies were present Wed., Aug. 4, for the Beach Gala Super Summer Salad Supper. Such delicious salads as tuna, shrimp, taco, stuffed tomatoes, two layer whip cream jello for dessert and sherbert punch were enjoyed. No meeting was held. The ladies just enjoyed their labors in the kitchen. Don't forget to get your table space reserved for the Christmas Bazaar and Bake Sale to be held on Sat. Nov: 6, from 8:30 a.m. toSp.m. at the beach house. Make a profit on the sale of your hobby items. The Beach Gals will host coffee for all who enter a table. Stamp Collecting Classes Plans have been finalized between the McHenry County hiatorical society directors and the Rockford Stamp club to present an eight-week course at the society's museum in Union. Beginning Thursday, Sept. 9, and continuing each Thursday through Oct. 28, the claaaes will be offered evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Each two-hour class will deal with a specific topic ranging from in­ formation for the beginning collector to postal history and security and the law. The Rockford Stamp club, which will offer the course, has been in existence since 1930 and has an active membership of 60 to 70. Members The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) has an­ nounced that two McHenry county public water supplies failed to adequately monitor the bac­ teriological quality of their water and also failed to notify their customers of this deficiency. Public water supplies are required to notify customers through the mail within three months after failing to perform adequate monitoring. If the water supply does not notify its customers within three months of such a violation, then the IEPA issues public notice. These violations oc­ curred during the March. 1982.
