MARVIN RESIDE IN MCHENRY -- Newly married Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Marvin are making their home in McHenry. Thex duple was united in holy matrimony Saturday, June 5, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church, McHenry. The Reverend Roger Schneider performed the 2 p.m. ceremony. The bride is the former Sandra L.Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Miller of McHenry. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Marvin of Hampton, Va. are the parents of the bridegroom. A reception for 200 friends and relatives was held at the Johnsburg Community club following the nuptials. The new Mrs. Marvin graduated from McHenry Community high school in 1978 and is presently a G.A.A. for Connecticut General Life Insurance Co., Chicago. Her husband, a graduate of Tabb high school In Virginia, is employed by Lenca Electronics, McHenry, as a lab technician. Of the many drugs available, marijuana is nearly always the first illegal drug used by children and adolescents. Everyone is invited to come prepared to ask questions and learn about the drug laws that are in effect. MCACE Sponsors Film Skewing MCACE (McHenry County Child­ birth Educators)' is sponsoring a showing of the film, "Nan's Clan", made by the American Society for Psychoprophylaxis in Obstetrics on Wednesday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m., at the McHenry Public Library, 1011 N. Green street. The movie portrays the labors and deliveries of five couples and a single parent using the Lamaze method. It depicts some of the newest ap­ proaches to childbirth. The future bride is a 1979 graduate of Marian Central Catholic high fchool and her fiance graduated from Crystal Lake Central high school in 1977. Mission Team Discusses Full Agenda The U.M.W. Mission Team (Executive committee) had many items on the agenda for September and October when it met for its first Fall meeting. The first one was the U.M.W. General meeting, which is scheduled to be held Sept. 16, at noon, in the Fellowship hall of the First United Methodist church, McHenry. Priscilla Circle will be hostesses and the program is a reading from the book, "O Ye Jigs and Juleps", which promises to be amusing and in­ teresting. An Estate Auction was held in the church parking lot Saturday, Sept. 11 at 1 p.m. Bea Nuziard was appointed chairman of the committee on Membership, and will arrange for a membership drive in the near future. Robbi Hurckes reported on the "Fall Fitness Classes" for women of the church, which started Sept. 9 and will continue two days a week from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Those interested are urged to contact Mrs. Thos. J. (Robbi) Hurckes, Pistakee Highlands, for further particulars. Northern Illinois Conference U.M.W. Annual Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 25, from 9:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., at the Sycamore UrM.W. church. Reservations must be made by Sept. 18. The annual "All Church Rummage Sale" is slated for Sept. 23, 24 and 25. Donations may be brought to the church and stored in classroom 1-B. The November evening meeting will feature a plastics ware demonstration party as the program, and all women of the church and their friends and neighbors are invited. The next U.M.W. Doris Low displayed scrap- books, pictures, newsletters and publicity materials from 1953 in honor of the McHenry Moose's thirtieth anniversary and Publicity night. The next meeting is slated for Sept. 21, and enrollment will be held. St. Agatha Court No. 777 Hosts Day Of *Recollection St. Agatha Court No. 777 of the National Catholic Society of Foresters will host the annual Day of Recollection for 1962. The retreat will be held Wednesday, Sept. 22, at the Villa Desiderata, Pistakee Bay. The outing is open to all Catholic Foresters and their guests and also to anyone else who is interested. The day begins at 9 a.m. with registration and Benediction and will close at 3 p.m. following a penitential service and Mass.
