The McHenry golf team captured the Crown Invitational Saturday and then easily defeated Crystal Lake South Monday by a score of 156-166 for its seventh ana eighth wins of the season. The Warriors won the Crown Invitational by three strokes over second place finisher, Crystal Lake South, the same team it beat Monday. The final score was 303-309. Holly Ryan was the leading scorer for Marian with four. She also had one ace and eight spikes. The loss drops the Hurricane record to 3-4 overall. The junior varisty were able to defeat Montini though; losing the first game 11-15, but winning the nextr two 15-6 and 15-11. Mary Lewan and Michele Lalor were the leading the scorers with nine. Date For Fourth Annual Lung Run Set The American Association of DuPage and McHenry Counties will sponsor the fourth annual Lung Run on Sunday, Oct. 17 at 10 a.m. The 10 kilometer (6.2 miles) and five kilometer (3.1 miles) runs are for the entire family. It will be held in Wheaton starting at Wheaton- Warrenville High School, corner of Wiesbrook and Butterfield Roads. Harold Wimmer, Program Director, said, "More than 500 run ners participated last year to make the Lung Run one of the largest runs in the DuPage area. This year we anticipate an even larger crowd to enjoy theruns-along the scenic Illinois Praire Path." Funds raised from the Lung Run support the association's pediatric asthma programs and summer camp for asthmatic children. Registeration may be done up to race time.
