Members have spent recent weekends clearing the many miles of Snowblazer trails so they will be ready for use when snow falls. Actual marking of the trails with stakes and signs will take place in mid-November. The trail groomer has been serviced and is ready to go. The winter ac­ tivities calendar of planned events is ready, with such outings as trips to outlying areas for Friday night fish frys and Sunday brunch, as well as other trips making use of our trails and those of our neighboring clubs, and into Wisconsin. Snowblazers president Marv Taylor, and Mrs. Taylor were happy to represent the club at the convention of the Illinois Association of Snowmobile clubs in Moline the weekend of Oct. 15-17. They were able to bring much, valuable information back, including state grants available through registration fees. Snowblazer members are anxiously anticipating t.ie snow season so they can again enjoy their favorite winter sport. To have access to hundreds of miles of trails in northern Illinois and Wisconsin, everyone is invited to join the Island Lake Snowblazers. Meetings are the first and third Thursday each month at Mantzoro's restaurant in Island Lake.
