If you are driving, safety belts keep you comfortable and alert. They help avoid serious injuries in an emergency by keeping you in the driver's seat and in control of the vehicle. If you are involved in an accident, safety belts increase your chances of survival, and possibly escaping unhurt, because 1) you stay inside the car, where you are two to five times safer, and 2) you are spared the "second collision" between you and dangerous surfaces inside the car. Lap belts combine with shoulder belts provide better control of the car to prevent collisions or to ride through them more safely. Lap belts reduce 1 impact force in a collision and keep the driver and passengers in the car, where they are safer. Shoulder belts, which always should be worn in conjunction with lap belts, keep heads and chests from hitting the steering wheel or in strument panel. If you have any questions about the secretary of State's office, please feel free to use our toll-free telephone number (800- 252-8980). Laser Surgery Laryngeal papillomas, of ten called throat warts, con sist of multiple finger-like projections with a central core of fibrous tissue. Caus ed by a virus, they usually are benign, but as they continue to grow within the larynx or trachea, they can block the airway and become life threat ening, particularly in the slender windpipe of a child. Otolaryngologists at the University of California, San Francisco studying the treatment of papillomas con clude in a new study that excision of these growths with a carbon dioxide laser provides a "clear advance" over other treatment forms. u : nu i i i REVCO DISCOUNT DRUG CENTER Yow cap nmnth over vttk savings MILLER LITE BEER 12PACK* 12OZ.
