The Moose lodge is having a CPR course on Dec. 6, from 7 to 10 p.m. The Women of the Moose have scheduled their annual Potluck Christmas Party for Dec. 7, and dinner will be served promptly at 7 p.m. Ladies planning to attend are asked to bring a dish to pass; a $5 grab bag gift (with member's name in­ dicated on the package); and wear formal dress because enrollment will also be held that evening. Social Service chairman, Betty Reimer is in charge of the potluck and anyone having questions about the party is urged to contact her. The McHenry Moose Lodge will be having its "members only" New Years Eve Party and tickets are limited to a first come basis. The Nov. 16 business meeting was called to order by Senior Regent Lil Baker with 20 women in attendance. Applications for membership were read and after a favorable report from the Investigating committee, the women present balloted on the new candidates. It was announced that the Women of the Moose cookbooks are still available for sale and anyone in­ terested in purchasing them should contact any member. Mary Lu Barry thanked the ladies present for their First United Methodist church- Christmas program-bring Valley-Hi residents' birthday gifts. Daniel Thomas was born at Memorial Hospital for McHenry County, Woodstock and weighed 6 lbs.-3 oz. He was eagerly awaited at home by his three-year- old brother Timothy. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ed­ ward Coughlin of McHenry. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Birmingham of McHenry are the paternal grandparents. A boy, Jason Robert, weighing 6 lbs. 2 oz., was born Nov. 9, at Good Shepherd hospital, Barrington, to Steven and Susanne Kirkham of McHenry. He has one brother, Mathew Charles, age three.
