By Kat* Woods My boyfriend and I are going to break up, if you don't settle this argu ment. What was the name of the movie that starred Andy Griffith as a sheriff investigating shotgun murders. I say it was "Snow Killer;" he says "Eagle Mountain." Neither of you win. The 1974 movie was called "Winter Kills." FIERCE PIERCE -- I'll bet never in the history of TV has a season provided women with so many good-looking males. About time. While I appre ciate them all, I'm writing about Pierce Brosnan. Is that intriguing accent his own? ^ There are those of us who could argue on behalf of the stars of all those late '50s, early '60s private-eye shows and Warner Bros. Westerns. But Brosnan is certainly no slouch. The accent is a result of having been born in County Meath, Ireland and moving at tho age of 11 to London. He's married to Cassan dra Harris, who you might have caught opposite her husband as the shady lady, Katherine Simon, on a recent episode of "Reming ton Steele." They have two children, Charlotte, 8, and Christopher, 7. BACHELOR PADDED CELL -- Everybody thinks I'm nuts. But there was a mid-'5Qs series about two crazy bache lors who lived with their aunt and equally crazy Uncle Earl. I think it yas called "It's a Great Life." Not only was it called "It's a Great Life," bJt it was a .great show, running two seasons on NBC (1954-'56). Michael O'Shea and William Bishop played Denny David and Steve Connors, who moved in with Mrs. Morgan (she was not their aunt), her daughter Amy and brother, Earl. Frances Bavier, best remembered as Aunt Bee on "The Andy Griffith Show," played- the landla dy, white Oscar-winner ("A Tree Grows in Brooklyn") James Dunn was Uncle Earl. Barbara Bates Was the daughter-niece. •' "Ask Kate" welcomes all questions pertaining to television and show busi ness personalities, but because of the volurr. mail involved, perse replies are not possible.
