Musicians In Concert LAKEMOOR-LILYMOOR AREA Margaret Karas 365-4934 Flash Fire Destroys Car Jim Hayes of Lilymoor was a for tunate man when a flash fire started in his garage as he was repairing a car. The flames erupted, but Jim was able to get out without being burned. He ran into his house where his wife Shirley telephoned the fire depart ment. The prompt response of the firemen, plus the insulated wall between the garage and house, prevented the fire from spreading. Jim lost the car and many tools and equipment, but is thankful that neither he nor his home were harmed. So are we. LAST MEETING OF YEAR Jean Dember was hostess at the last meeting of the Lily Lake Ladies . League for this year. Julia Kraus, not often a winner at Bunco, won the first prize. Millie Nejedly won second, Helen Para special, and the booby prize went to the hostess. The next time the ladies get together will be in the spring, as cold, snow and ice makes it difficult to get out at night. Several will be spending some time in warmer climes. Let's hope all will be back together again in March to tell of their winter pleasures. WHOOPEE, IT WAS GOOD! That was the response of Sherry Watkins after having a fun time at the Holiday Magic Show at East campus for the benefit of the city of McHenry Police officers. Sherry, with friends - WEDNESDAY. DECEMBER 15, U#2 Jodi Gray, Leslie Miles, Bobby and Angie Charsha, Mike Hibbs and Eddie Gray, watched the magic feats per formed Tuesday evening. Tickets for the show had been given through a donation by John Paroubek. Angie's favorite magic trick in volved rabbits in a cage, and how they were made to disappear. Happily they weren't transported to never-land, and came back after the right magic incantation. Chris Watkins, Sherry's sister, provided transportation, making it possible for the youngsters to have such a good time seeing magic hap pening right before their eyes.
