Riverside Dr., McHenry (M-S, 9-5) 105 Van Buren St., Woodstock (Daily 9-5. Fri 9-8) ROBBERY CLEARED Accused of robbing the First Federal Savings and Loan, at 4400 W. Elm street, in January, Ronnie Lee Starks was cleared of the charges in July of 1982. In early January, Starks was arrested by Kentucky State police on a warrant from McHenry county for the Jan. 8 robbery of the financial institution. A lone gunman escaped on foot with approximately $3,700 in the hold-up. Subsequent evidence indicated that the wrong man had been charged. A fingerprint taken from the note used in the hold-up belonged not to Starks, but to another man. That person was in custody of the U.S. marshal in Kenosha. Wis., in connection with a bank robbery that occurred in Gurnee, 111. Law enforcement of ficials from the F B I. to the McHenry police believed the same man perpetrated both crimes. Also, the teller in the incident was unable to positively identify Starks as the man who committed the crime.
