COMMUNITY CALENDAR Friendship Club Approves Time A . * - ' • Change For Starting Luncheons Thirty-six members and guests were in attendance when the Doxology was sung at the January potluck luncheon of the Friendship club of the First United Methodist church. A motion was made by Herbert Rose that the club start eating at 12:30 p.m. in the future. This met with approval and everyone is requested to have the dishes at the church at least 10 to 15 minutes early so they can be put on the serving table and ready to be served at 12:30 p.m. sharp. The meeting had been called to order at 2:10 p.m. by President Bertha Stange, who thanked the ladies for the delicious luncheon. Mary Rose's devotions included readings, "Just Once" and "Friendship", en ding with a prayer, which were in teresting and inspirational. A certificate of appreciation from the McHenry Area Rescue Squad, for the club's donation, was read and it will be framed. Carmon Hodges of the rescue squad was introduced and he gave a very interesting talk on CPR; showed a film from the American Red Cross; and then gave some demonstrations. Happy Birthday and Happy An niversary were sung to members celebrating those events in January.
