STAFF PHOTO-WAYNE GAYLORD Vernon Reinboldt, a custodian at Edgebrook Elementary school, was presented a'plaque commemorating 20 years of service at the school. Presented by Principal James LaShelle, the plaque was from the faculty and staff of the school. "It doesn't seem that long," said Reinboldt. "But I don't mind it at all. I really like the kids," In construction for 13 years with Tonyan construction, Reinboldt worked on the Edgebrook school building before coming to work there. He noted that, for a while, the school contained grades 1 through 7, before changing to grades 1 through 5. "I've never had a better principal than Jim," he said. LaShelle is the fifth principal that Reinboldt has worked under. "The kids are pretty much the same," Reinboldt said, although he added that they seem to be more disciplined in recent years. "I can go down the halls and some of them will open the door for me., they never did that before," he sdid. Will Reinboldt continue as custodian at Edgebrook? "Maybe for another year or so. I'll be 63 in June and I'll probably go 'til 64. I want to do some fishing," Reinboldt said. Feb. 9,16 & Feb. 23,1983) No. 830054 PARENT GUIDE M By Nancy Nun Am«d (Mrs. J. Strom Thurmond, author, MadMr'i MwUdac) If your baby is on solid food, remember to take his feeding spoon and enough food for an extra feeding in case you do not get home by what I jokingly call the "arsenic hour"--his feeding time. It is always well to enclose a nutritious snack for older children. When you make a short jaunt with your baby, whether it is running er rands, going to the doctor, or visiting a friend, you will enjoy your trip much more if your baby is rested and has just been fed. You might want to take an extra sweater or blanket to protect him against a change in the weather or a draft. For overnight visits, there are carryall diaper bags on the market that zip open into a makeshift bed with padded sides to keep a baby comfortable. Your diaper bag will be indispensable. It is your passport to happy mother ing. It will save many fretful hours for you and your baby. Always have it ready, and immediately discard any dirty diapers, leftover for mula, or trash as soon as you return. By being prepared, you can save time when you are on the run. Have diaper bag, will travel. YOUR PRESCRIPTION Q. - My memory is slipping and I can't always remember whether I've already taken my medicine at a certain hour. Any tips? A. - It's a problem all of us face at one time or another, but it's im portant to find a solution because, with some medicines, double dosing -- or missed dosing - can be dangerous. One answer is to count out the total number of capsules or^^st you're supposcu w cane during the whole day. Do this when you first get up in the morning. Put these counted dosage units in a separate container of the same type as the original vial (white plastic, amber clear plastic, brown glass, whatever) and be sure to put the name of the medicine on the separate container, too. (If you're taking more than one type of medicine during the day, you must be sure to take the right one at the right hour, so labeling is important). Now, if you can't remember whether you've taken your medicine, just count the remaining dosage units in the container. If you are supposed to take four a day and only three are still in the vial, obviously you've already taken your first dose. One final precaution. Always be sure to replace the lid on each container. Air can make some medicines lose potency. --* 1983 DINNER THEATER Running wMkends of February 11,18 and 25 ji ii Ticket Prices:Fri & Sundays $14 p*r person Saturdays...$17 par parson Group rates milable for 25 persons or More (Fri ft Sun (Mv) Fri & Sat Oinnar 6:30pm Showtima 8:30 pm Sundays Dinnar 1:30pm Showtime 3:30pm --•PCOJMMMNgKM THEATERS- "COME BLOW*YOUR HORN" GIFT CERTIFICATES FOR DINNER AND DINNER THEATRE NOW AVAILABLE DAILY EVENING SPECIALS M0N,l«M*lip TUES.-Stoak frj £ JL 95 W»,PriMt» Q THURS.-toKt Dad Friday Fish Fry $3*5 Op«n For Lunch** Mon-Frl llam-2pm BANQUET HALLS AVAILABLE PARTIES FROM 25 to 7S0 •WEDDINGS 'FASHION SHOWS • PROMS •SHOWERS 'REUNIONS •BRIDAL REHEASALS -RETIREMENTS.
