BIRTHS Siggi and Sue Weigert, 2705 W. Russet road, McHenry, became parents of their fourth child and first daughter Feb. 5, and named her Wendy Marie. The 7 lbs. 8Vfe oz. baby girl was born at Memorial Hospital, for McHenry County, Woodstock. She was eagerly awaited at home by Christopher, age eight;-Jeffrey, six; and two-year-old Andrew. Maternal grandparents are Marylou and Chester Cholewinski of Twin Lakes, Wis. Ms. Lotte Weigert of Chicago is the paternal grandmother. Mrs. Mary Cholewinski of Chicago is the infant's great-grandmother. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Gehrke, 1215 Bay road, McHenry, announce the birth of their first child on Feb. 5. Kate Ellen entered the world at Memorial Hospital for McHenry County, Woodstock, weighing 7 lbs. 8 oz. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John Monteleone of Lake Villa, 111. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard P. Gehrke of McHenry are the paternal grandparents. Great-grandparents include Mrs. Pauline Monteleone of Chicago and Mrs. Mary Helmbrecht of Hutchinson, Minn. Gregory L. and Carol D. Foreman, 4319 Riverdale, McHenry, became parents of their second child and f i r s t son on Feb. 7 . Geoffrey LuwvJ l arrived at McHenry hospital weighing 8 lbs. 5 oz. He has a three-year-old sister Julia. Maternal grandparents are Rosemary and Robert Des Camps of Naperville, 111. Lowell and Betty Foreman of Rolling Meadows, 111. are the paternal grandparents. Peter William is the name chosen by Robert and Roberta Denley, 5105 Greenbrier drive, McHenry, for their second son. The 6 lbs. 5*2 oz. baby boy weighed in at Lutheran General hospital, Park Ridge on Feb. 7. He has a brother David, age one and a half years. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bober of Des Plaines, 111. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Denley, also of Des Plaines, are the paternal grandparents. James T. and Linda A. Schubel, 1422 Bayview drive, McHenry, announce the birth of their first child on Feb. 8. Christopher James was born at Memorial Hospital for McHenry County, Woodstock and weighed 6 lbs. l oz. Maternal grandparents are Cecil and Florence Hamill of Deckerville, Mich, and Holiday, Fla. Ted and Ella Schubel of Minden City, Mich, are the paternal grandparents. Daniel and Michelle Lisi, 1325 Ivy lane, Crystal Lake, became parents of their first child Feb. 9, and named her Gina Danielle. The 7 lbs. 9 oz. baby girl entered the world at Memorial Hospital for McHenry County, Woodstock. Maternal grandparents are Gene and Toni Januschik of McHenry. She is an adjudicator of * choral music activities, as well as ! having choreographed over 20 * musical productions. A small admission will be charged Tickets are available from students participating in the festival, and will be available at the door. Funds For Hospital The auxiliary of Memorial hospital has approved another contribution to the Memorial hospital building program, Nancy Langdon, president, has announced. Earlier, the auxiliary had ap­ proved a total of $150,000 toward the expansion program, to be paid $50,009 a year over three years. Two-thirds of , that pledge has been paid. ; Mrs. Langdon said the $25,000 gift is to remodel and expand the snack bar and gift shop near the hospital's! lobby. She also announced still another, service will be provided by the auxiliary's 455 members - staffing a reception desk in the lobby when that area is remodeled. FUN FAIR Olsen Junior high school in Woodstock will hold a Fun Fair Saturday, Feb. 26, from 3 to 7 p.m. The public is invited. LINDA ANDERSON Linda S. Anderson will conduct a 520-member festival chorus from nine schools of the Fox Valley conference. McHenry West campus high school will host the event scheduled Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m., with 70 West campus and 55 East campus musicians par­ ticipating. The concert will include a special girls' chorus, a boys' chorus, and honor choir, and a massed festival chorus. Selections to be sung on the concert range from the best of the great sacred literature, to con­ temporary secular works. Ms. Anderson presently directs the "Expressions", a swing choir of Buffalo Grove high school which has performed in Canada, Florida, Tennessee, and most recently at the World's Fair in Knoxville. She received her Master of Music degree from Northwestern university. Ms. Anderson has conducted workshops EXPLORERS SPONSOR DANCE > r Explorer Troop No. 629 will be ^ sponsoring a "Fantasy In February"! \ dance, Saturday, Feb. 26. All teenagers between the ages of 13 and 18 are invited to join the fun at the Pistakee Highlands Community * Center. Hit records will be spun by>^- disc jockey from 7 to 11 p.m. and there will be free popcorn for everyone.
