RINGWOOD NEWS Doris Low 653-9262 Koty Christopher 385-8037 Community Feels Tragic Loss The community was deeply saddened to learn of the death of Jerry Hogan last Friday, son of John and Ua Hogan. Our sincerest sympathy goes to his wife, Ruth Ann, and their children, as well as to the entire Hogan family. RECEPTION FOR MARGE EVANS On a beautiful sunny afternoon, friends gathered at the Ringwood church last Sunday to wish Marge Evans a happy birthday. A beautifully decorated cake and floral piece centered the refreshment table. An added and very pleasant sur­ prise occurred when Reinhold Hoh- mann appeared with his accordion to play "Happy Birthday" while everyone joined in singing. Reinhold and his wife, Trudi, furnished some additional music to add to the happy occasion. BIBLE STUDY POSTPONED Because of conflicting activities, the Green wood-Ringwood parish Adult Sunday school group will not be meeting this Saturday evening, Feb. 26. This group meets the second and fourth Saturday evening of each month and welcomes any who wish to participate with them. You may contact Pastor Gordon Smith for more details. VISITS ST. LOUIS Bill Baker accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Seeger, and son Mark, to the Feed and Grain Dealers convention in St. Louis recently. While there, they got to do a little sightseeing, including a tour of the brewery. CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY WITH FAMILY Cindy Baker was home last Saturday to celebrate her birthday with her folks. She is employed and living in Woodstock. RUMMAGE SALE The spring rummage sale will be held at the Ringwood church on Friday. Tickets are on sale at the Woodstock Opera House ticket office Ticket office hours are from noon to 5.30 p m Tuesday through Friday, and 9:30 a m to3:30 p m on Saturday, and one hour before the performance For reservations or information, call 815- 338-5300 Pilot Dental Clinic Opened The McHenry County Board of Health, in cooperation with the McHenry County Dental society opened a pilot dental clinic at the Valley Hi Nursing home in Hartland Feb. 25 at 1 p.m. The initial purpose of this project is to provide the 100 residents of the county nursing home with much needed dental and cancer prevention care. If this program proves suc­ cessful, it is the hope of the sponsors to eventually serve other senior citizens and dentally indigent persons residing in McHenry county. A fully equipped dental office has been set up at Valley Hi through the generosity of various members of the McHenry County Dental society. Services for the clinic, as well as equipment and supplies are provided by members of the McHenry County Dental society.
