It was most appropriate as Mr. Adams recently retired as. a church organist at the Church of St. Mary of the Assumption, McHenry. Among the guests singing "Happy Birthday" were Mr. Adams' wife of 47 years, Loretta, and his three brothers, Joe and Otto of Johnsburg and Nick of McHenry. Joe was the oldest guest at 85 years; and the youngest was two- month-old Robin Marie Adams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Adams of McHenry. A native of Johnsburg, Alex is the son of the late Jacob and Anna (Freund) Adams. He is known for his crafts and handiwork skills and he and his • wife have fpqdf oy« 200 quilts.
