Entertainment was supplied by her nephew, Ron Pedecone and grandson, Bobby Parenti, both playing the drums. Even Lillian's 87-year-old sister Esther and 90-year-old brother- in-law George enjoyed dancing to the music. DISHWASHERS When purchasing a dishwasher, it is important to evaluate specific needs instead of being sold on the most deluxe model. Today's dishwasher is one of the best time-savers in the kitchen. It eliminated the chore of drying dishes, and because water is hotter and the detergent stronger than human hands can stand, dishes are clean and more sanitary. Here are a few tips that can help save time and get the most from the dishwasher. ...Encourage all family members to put dirty dishes and glasses from between meal snacks directly into the dishwasher until there is a full load to run. Most families find that cleaning a full load once a day is sufficient. ...Use a rinse aid additive - liquid if the dishwasher has a dispenser, or solid form, if it doesn't. The rinse aid causes the water to "sheet" off, reducing the possibility of water droplets forming and causing spots on glassware. ...Prepare table and cooking ware for the dishwasher as it is removed from the dining area; Before loading dishwasher, empty out liquids and shake off any solid leftovers. No need to scrape or rinse. Keep dinner dishes, salad plates, saucers in separate stacks to more quickly load the machine.
