Some may get airtime later this month, in May and in June. CBS soon may air its biopic on the life of boxer Jack Demp- sey with Treat Williams in the title role. Sally Keller- man as the boxer's first wife and "Winds of War" star Victoria Tennant playing his second wife. Lynda Carter will be portraying legendary screen goddess Rita Hayworth in a CBS film focusing on her life as movie queen, pin-up girl and socialite. Israeli actor Aharon Ipale will play Ali Khan, who married Miss Hayworth. CBS will attempt to take its daytime soap opera "The Guiding Light" into prime time with a special TV-movie, "The Cradle Will Fall." James Farentino, Lauren Hut- ton and Ben Murphy will be added to the cast in an attempt to boost ratings. Thomas Thompson's best-selling novel "Celebrity," the story of three Texas men haunted for years by their attack on a young girl, is being adapted as a miniseries 'for NBC. The network is trying to get into the miniseries ratings fray. No casting has been announced yet. Ed Asner is going back to work, starring opposite Eli Wallach in the CBS drama "Anatomy of an Illness." It is based on the true story of author Norman Cousins, who overcome a debilitating illness. Valerie Bertinelli will star in a "Norma Rae"-type film, "Expelled," via her own Tuxedo production compa ny for CBS. TELE-NOTES -- During their hiatus, Cynthia Sikes of "St. Elsewhere" and Marilu Henner of "Taxi" will join Kim Basinger and Julie Andrews, all of whom star opposite Burt Reynolds in Columbia Pictures' "The Man Who Loved Women."
