FERNSTROM ARIZONA HONEYMOON - Newly married Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fernstrom are residing at 4511 Home avenue, McHenry after returning from a Phoenix, Ariz, honeymoon. The bride is the former Nancy L. (Burg) Lucarz, daughter of Mrs. Gerald Burg, McHenry. Mr. Fernstrom is the son of Mrs. Marjorie Fernstrom of McHenry and Mr. Charles Fernstrom of Ft. Myers, Fla. Pastor Eric J. Snyder officiated at the March 19, 2 p.m. nuptials in Faith Presbyterian church, McHenry. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her uncle, Gregory Burg, Sr., the twin brother of her deceased father. She was wearing a wedding gown that had been made by her close friend. Ceil Seavers of Wonder Lake. A reception for 90 guests was held at the V.F.W. hall in McHenry. The bride is employed in the Production Control department of Modine Mfg. Co. in Ringwood and the groom is the proprietor of Chuck's Towing in McHenry. They both graduated from McHenry high school. Program Features Archaeology At the April 14 meeting of the McHenry Woman's club, to be held at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church, Craig Pfannkuche, charter member of the Sauk Trail chapter of the Illinois Association for the Ad­ vancement of Archaeology, will present a program of slides and an explanation of finds and digs in the Fox Valley area. Mr. Pfannkuche received a Bachelor and Master of Arts in History, with a minor in Archaeology, from Northern Illinois university; and went on to do graduate field work in archaeology in Kansas. He is presently a teacher of History and Anthropology at Crystal Lake South high school, where they have an actual historic site on which to practice archaeological techniques. A number of slides from that site will be included in his presentation. Refreshments will be served at noon and the program will begin at 1:45 p.m. Women's Club Meets April 13 "The Good Old Days" will be the theme for the April luncheon of the McHenry County Christian Women's club, Wednesday, April 13, from 12 to 2 p.m. «-- Mary Smith of Wauconda will present "Treasures from Days Gone By", a feature on depression glass. She is offering one free appraisal for each luncheon guest. "Musical Treasures" will be presented by Laila Wilson, a soprano, from Crystal Lake. Speaker for the day will be Nancy Hawley, an artist and mother, from Carol Stream. Her talk is entitled "Treasure of a Changed Life". The luncheon will be held at T.C. The Illinois pageant is the official state preliminary to the Miss United Teenager pageant, a national pageant that includes all 50 states.
