ROSE ADAMS The board of advisors for the Outstanding Young Women of America Awards program has an­ nounced that Rose Adams has been1 selected for inclusion in the 1982 edition of Outstanding Young Women of America. Ms. Admas, who lives in West Fork, Ark., is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clem Adams of rural Yellville. The Outstanding Young Women of America program is designed to honor and encourage exceptional! young women between the ages of 21 and 36 who have distinguished themselves in their homes, their professions and their communitties. Accomplishments such as these are the result of dedication, service and leadership -- qualities which deserve to be recognized and remembered. Miss Adams, along with ap­ proximately 23,000 fellow Outstanding Young Women of America, will be presented in the prestigious annual awards volume. They are now being considered for one of the 51-state awards to be presented to those women who have made the most noteworthy contributions in their individual states. From these 51 state winners, the 10 outstanding Young Women of America will be chosen. They will be honored at the annual awards lun­ cheon held in Washington, D C. Miss Adamas received her BS degree in education from Illinois State university in Normal, 111. She took one year of law at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and then went on to earn her master's degree there. She moved to Ohio and worked for the Clinton County Children's Ser­ vices in Wilmington, Ohio. In August, 1981, She moved back to Arkansas and is at present director of Educational Services of the Bost Human Development Services. The school, a complex of four schools in one area, teaches mentally retarded developmentally disabled chldren and adults. There are 56 students under her direction for whom she is responsible.
