Walz TUBE THE FINAL COUNTDOWN -- Here's a look at the networks' sitcom plans for the fall TV season. ABC has been casting its eyes on "On the Side," with Madeline Kahn, "Side by Side," with Ron Leibman and Charles Durning and "Another Ballgame," with Alex Karras. Others in development are "Automan," "Good Girl" and a series based on the British sitcom "Pig in the Middle." All are yet to be cast. CBS is peering at "Domestic Life," with Steve Martin producing, "Empire," headlining Patrick Macnee, "The George Hamilton Show," and series based on the films "Diner" and "Author, Author." Other series in develop ment but yet to be cast are "For Members Only," "Changing Times," "Sutter's Bay," "Great Day," "Together Again," "13 Thirteenth Avenue" and "A Fine Romance." Over at NBC, Ron Howard is developing "Littleshots." Ann Jillian headlines in "817 Hollywood Drive," Doris Roberts is featured in "Mr. and Mrs. C." There's also an unnamed project involving Don Rickles and "Yazoo," featuring William Conrad. Concepts yet to be cast include "Switch," "The Sun day Funnies," "The Cracker Brothers," "Primetime," "The President of Love," "There Goes the Neighbor hood," "High Court," "Love for Hire," "Young Hearts," "Another Jerk," "The Ladies" and "We've Got It Made." UPDATES -- Bruce Boxleitner, whose CBS series "Bring 'Em Back Alive" was axed, is set to star opposite Kate Jackson in the CBS pilot "Scarecrow and Mrs. King." Though "Tales of the Gold Monkey" will probably be canned by ABC, a major Australian TV network has pur chased the series and has asked star Stephen Collins to fly to the Land Down Under to promote it. ©1983 Compuiog
