RUTH BUCKNER Mrs. Ruth Buckner, wife of the late Carl Buckner, superintendent of schools in McHenry for many years, died about 8 o'clock Tuesday morning, May 24, folowing an illness of several months. Mrs. Buckner was a teacher in the District 15 school system until her retirement. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Peter M. Jus ten & Son funeral home. Last rites will be conducted Thursday at 11 o'clock at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church. MARY ANN McGEE Mary Ann McGee, 56, of Wonder Lake, died Monday, May 23, at Royal Terrace Care Center. She was born May 31, 1926, in Oak Park, 111., the daughter of John M. Gillespi, Sr. of Leslie, Ark. and Ruth Nichols Ed­ wards of Wonder Lake. Mrs. McGee lived in the area about 12 years, having come from Chicago. Surviving are four brothers, John M. Gillespi and Donald R. Gillespi of Wonder Lake, Harold A. Gillespi of Oak Forest, 111. and John Schueler of Libertyville; a sister, Mrs. Harold (Mary) Parrish of Wonder Lake; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Zion Lutheran church, McHenry, with the Rev. Herman Graef officiating, and burial in Glen-Oak cemetery, Hillside, 111. Visitation was scheduled from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home. Memorials would be appreciated to the Wonder Lake Rescue Squad. ROBERT RICHTER Robert Max Richter, 82, of McHenry, died Sunday, May 22, at McHenry hospital. He was born May 25, 1900, in Chicago, to Herman and Johanna (Grustadt). A resident of McHenry the past 25 years, Mr. Richter was a retired co- owner and vice-president of Richter Spring Co., Franklin Park; and a member of Community Masonic Lodge 1007, Chicago the past 50 years. On July 10, 1926, in Chicago, he married the former Lillian Flobeck who survives. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews; one sister, Mrs. Louise Helgeson of Marionette, Wis. and the late Harold; and a brother, Max Richter of Franklin Park. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Arthur; and a sister Marie Schmidt. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the George R. Justen & Son funeral home, with Father Vincent Fish officiating and interment in Acacia Park, Chicago. Visitation was scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Kilgore, 76, of Woodstock, well known in the McHenry area, died Saturday, May 21, at McHenry hospital. He was born Aug. 25,1906, in Hot Springs, Ark., the son of James David and Elsie M. (Young) Kilgore. Mr. Kilgore is survived by his wife Elizabeth P. "Maxine" (Engelhardt); a daughter, Mrs. Daryl (Del) Bloss of Mishawaka, Ind.; and a grandson Jimmy. Funeral services and burial will be private. Arrangements were handled by the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home. GILBERT CONGDON Gilbert K. Congdon of McHenry died Saturday, May 21 at his home. He was 52, born in LaGrange, Wis. Sept. 29, 1930, the son of Kenneth and Loraine (Zuehlke) Congdon. A resident of McHenry about 24 years, formerly of Palmyra, Wis., Mr. Congdoh was an aircraft mechanic and pilot for Tufts-Edgcumbe Corp., at the Elgin, 111. airport; an airman first class in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955; past commander of American Legion Post 491; past president of the post rifle squad; and a member of 40 & 8. Surviving are his wife Carolyn (Poulson) whom he married Feb. 16, 1952, in Palmyra; two sons, Steven and Kenneth, both of McHenry; one daughter, Lea Congdon, at home; and one grandson, Kenneth. She'\vas born Sept. 17, 1885, in Illinois, to Adolph and Josephine Rosenau. A resident of the McHenry area since 1967, formerly of Chicago in the Lakeview area, Mrs. Landgraf was a member of the Eastern Star for 50 years, with the LakevieW chapter. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mildred (the late Arthur) Ryan of McHenry; one granddaughter, Mrs. Edward (Shirley) Gaski of Morton Grove; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Clara Erickson of Minneapolis, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert in 1953; two brothers, Adolph and Otto Rosenau; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Corbett and Mrs. Pauline Karl. Memorials would-be appreciated to the Johnsburg Rescue Squad. LEO ROTHERMEL Leo G. "Pete" Rothermel of McHenry died Thursday, May 19, at McHenry hospital. He was 78 years old, born in McHenry March 16, 1905, the son of Peter and Elizabeth (Glosson) Rothermel. Mr. Rothermel lived in McHenry all his life and had served as a City of McHenry Alderman from 1946 to 1952. Before 1942, he had worked for Carey Electric, McHenry; from 1943 to 1945, served in the Army; and after 1946, he started his own business, Rothermel Electric. Surviving are his wife Marion (Allen) whom he married Oct. 26, 1935, in Crystal Lake; a sister, Mrs. Villa Cunningham of Westmont, 111.; many nieces and nepheWs. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles and Alvin. A Funeral Mass was conducted Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic church, McHenry and burial was in St. Mary's cemetery. Friends called from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home. ELEANOR REGELIN Eleanor E. Regelin, 63, of 5201 Lear street, Wonder Lake, died Thursday, May 19, at Northwestern hospital, Chicago. She was born June 24, 1919, in Chicago, to Joseph an Amelia (Shroka) Bradkowski. A resident of the Wonder Lake area since 1955, Mrs. Regelin was a . member of Christ the King Catholic church; Blessed Virgin Sodality; had been employed by the McHenry Community High School Disrict for 24 years, the past 17 as a cafeteria manager for food service. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Jose (Nancy) LaFita of Chicago; two sons, Bud of Twain Harte, Calif and Tom of (Wonder Lake; 10 grand­ children; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marcella Kryzsko and Rosemary Bradkowski of Chicago; and three brothers, Joseph of Chicago; Richard of Carpentersville and Frank of Keeneyville. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward on Aug. 3, 1958. Visitation was from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the George R. Justen & Son funeral home.
