The room was decorated with red, white and green balloons (the color of the Italian flag) and Italian food was served -- in honor of producer Gloria Monty's heritage. Roy Ttiinnaa, who played the original Phil Brewer on the show, talked about his new career in musicals. "I always wanted to do musicals and about a year ago I decided to go after them," said Thinnes. He studied with David Craig, a highly regarded instructor who teaches actors how to audition for musicals. Roy recently auditioned for the leading male role in "On a Clear Day You Can See Forever" and instead was asked if he would be interested in doing "The King and I." He said yes. The reason he's not being considered for "On a Clear Day" is that, statuesque Lynn Redgrave has been signed as leading lady. Roy isn't short, but Lynn needs a 6-foot-plus leading man. Anthony Goary (Luke Spencer) is back on "GH" after 13 weeks off the show. Tony was reunited at the party with Genie Francis, who played Laura, half of what was once daytime's hottest romance. The pair had a long talk while photographers constantly flashed their bulbs. The couple's most recent TV projects haven't fared well. "Intimate Agony," Geary's recent ABC-TV movie about herpes, didn't score high ratings. Genie's NBC nighttime soap, "Bare Essence," has been canceled. Douglas Shaehan, who has played Joe Kelly on "GH" for many years, will become a reguiar on "Knots Landing" next season.
