She was 87 yei old, born in Chicago Jan. 27,1896, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Dietrich) Hofer. Mrs. Thennes lived in McHenry about 35 years, haying come from Chicago. She was a member of the Christian Mothers Sodality of the Church of St. Mary of the Assumption, McHenry. CREDIT LINE State Comptroller Roland Burris and State Treasurer James Donnewald, after meeting with Governor James R.^ Thompson, have agreed to the establishment of a line of credit by the state of up to $200 million. Dr. Robert Mandeville, director of the Bureau of the Budget, said the state will advertise for financial institutions wishing to extend a line of credit to the state. After receiving bids, the state will award the contract to the lowest bidder. Within two weeks after awarding the bid, about the beginning of June, the state can begin receiving the money. A former resident of Reeseville, Wis. and the McHenry area, Mr. Thompson spent most of his life as a mechanic and farmer.
