The service, with more than 480 people in attendance, served as the climax to two years of formal in­ struction. During the seventh and eighth grade, class members study the Ten Commandments, the Apostles' Creed, the Lord's Prayer, the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, and the Sacrament of the Altar. They also receive an overview of both the Old and New Testaments. During the service of Confirmation, each member of the eighth grade class knelt before the altar to receive the confirmation blessing from Pastor Roger W. Schneider. WONDER LAKE Anne Sowers 653-9549 Ski Club Holds Tryouts June 5 Sunday, June 5, will be the day for anyone who wishes to try out for the Wonder Lake Ski club. Tryouts begin at 3 p.m. at Hickory Falls Beach No. 3. Requirements for trying out are a slalom pier start, cross both wakes of boat in control, have your own vest and ski, have application signed by parent or guardian as waiver, and have a small tryout fee. Applications will be available at the beach on the day of tryouts or by contacting any one of the club of­ ficers, who are: Caryn Hartmann, Steve Lebda, Roger Hansen, Laurie Brinkmann, Alan Mrowka, and Joe Hansen. EARLY SERVICE The Wonder Lake Bible church is now holding an early service Sunday mornings. The prelude begins at 8:15 a.m. with the service beginning at 8:20 a.m. This service featuresgnore contempory music and the core of the service is planned by the College and Career group. It will continue until October, at which time it will be determined to either continue, or if it will be discontinued. TOPS The Wonder Lake TOPS organization, which is a non-profit weight losing group, is still meeting every Thursday at Christ The King church hall. You may come at 12:30 p.m. to join the exercise group or for the weigh in at 1 p.m. CHRIST THE KING LADIES SODALITY Thursday, June 9, all ladies who are members in good standing of the Ladies Sodality, will be treated to a luncheon at the Old Mill Inn beginning at 14:30 a.m Election of officers will take place a* the short business meeting. TURN PROFESSIONAL Bob Hartmann, a member of the Wonder Lake Ski club for six years, left the day after his graduation from Marian Central high school to begin skiing with Six Flags Atlantis in Hollywood, Fla. which is located in the Fort Lauderdale area. Bob begins his skiing profession June 1. Bob McCarty, a member of the Ski club for four years, also will turn professional this summer. Bob joins the Tommy Bartlett's Water show in the Wisconsin Dells on May 31. The Prodigal Planet, in two parts, is a continuation of the very popular prophesy series-A thief In The Night, A Distant Thunder, and Image Of The Beast. It is described as a true story, yet to happen, about people caught between time and eternity. This prophesy series of films dramatizes a period of time called "The Great Tribulation", as recorded in the book of Revelation. It shows the Biblical truths concerning the hap­ penings after the true> church is removed from the earth. This two part film will be shown at the American Legion hall, 2505 N.
