AREA Legal Notice Morgoret Karas 385-4934 STATE OF ILLINOIS Construction ' . ' ' * Progresses The new building becoming more visible daily, is being watched with curiosity and pride by members of the McHenry Nunda Library District. The courses of sandstone block being added daily, make the future home of the McHenry Nunda Library an item of interest to all passers-by and residents. The most asked question is, "When will the new library be in operation?". If all goes according to plan, early August will be the time of dedication. Until then, the services of your local library Will be available at the building on Lily Lake road and Columbus drive. Those materials not held at the library may be requested from the Northern Illinois Library System, giving local patrons access to information held at other libraries. Just ask Joseph Ocasek, who recently received a book on Treasures of the Northwest from a library in Oregon. Or ask John Schweder, who enjoys the free video cassettes provided through the system. Isn't that what libraries are? In formation Centers of the World! PARKLAND GRADUATES Youngsters of our area leaving their eighth year of school include Tracy Bonesz, Wendy Bird, Jenny Rogers, Bill Goebel, Alex Metschke, Tammy Sexton, Vickie Mayo, Denise Brizzi, Jim Chambers and Mike Hibbs. They will now be facing new ex periences and unknown factors of high school, with excitement, fear, a sense of adventure, and perhaps boredom. Congratulations go to these young people, with hopes that the knowledge assimulated in these past eight years will be a sound basis for their next four years of formal education. TWO DAYS IN LIFE OF A TWO-YEAR-OLD Rachael is the two-year-old daughter of Victoria and Guy Delp of Lakemoor, baby sister of Heidi and Grant. She is a special child in whose wide blue eyes the candor of in nocence is seen, but the wisdom of the ages lurks not far beneath. On Sunday, May 22, mother Vickie put Rachael into the newly pruchased bicycle seat and pedaled off for a short trip. The end result was a trip to the emergency room at the local hospital as Rachaers leg had been caught in the spokes of the bicycle, causing a bubble fracture of the shin bone, After the X-ray, a cast was put on Rachael's leg, with instructions to keep her inactive for at least 24 hours. Vickie felt the trauma all parents do when their little ones suffer as a result r,ui not of accidents. Rachael, howeve.,»».w one to relax or be quiet. On .Monday, Mom was on the phone, when a tap ping sound reached her ears. Rachael was hopping around, trying the one- legged method of movement. Later on, as Vickie appreciated a few quiet moments, she realized the quietness was ominous. Rachael was found in the bathroom bathing the pet dog, using witch hazel as a conditioner. How does one explain to a doctor enry rhich how a two-year-old's cast has to be redone because it got soggy? MUSIC A TALENT AND A JOY Three members of the McH< East Campus Jazz Band, whii received a perfect score of three first ratings at the competition at the School of the Ozarks, are young people from our area. Beth Baker, Mike Millnac and Steve Mumma were also heard at the Pops Concert held at the East campus theatre on May 17. Mike had a dual role at the concert of playing in the band and singing with the chorus. Other members singing and dancing were Debbie Vornkahl and Connie Meyers. A day at Great Ameica finished off the year's activities fori many youngsters at East campus. A fun time after all the hours of diligent practice and performing. That theory has „ been disproved by research showing that patients with normal diets healed as well or faster. Actually, i t ' s been found that frequent eating stimulates acid secret ion leading eventually to an overall increase in gastr ic acidity. Milk tends to s t i m u l a t e a c i d production in the stomach and is not recommended in large quanti t ies for ulcer patients. iereunto belonging.
