Westerns, science fictyon, mysteries, most best sellers and magazines can be obtained in this special form. The service is offered at no charge to area residents through McHenry Public library The only requirement is certification of the need for such a service. Mrs. Stuart noted particularly that visual impairment is not the only criteria for the service. "People with dyslexia problems, stroke victims and any impairment that makes reading a problem may enjoy the service, too," she declared. Once the service is established, arrangements can be made for mail delivery at no charge, she said. At present, six area residents are enjoyingf books through McHenry library's special reading aid. "We know many other residents could benefit from it." Mrs. Stuart suggested any in­ terested person contact the library at 385-0036 for further details. She also suggested that residents having neighbors or friends who might benefit from talking books should call it to their attention. WRIT OF ELECTION Governor Thompson issued a writ of election that sets in motion the procedures necessary to fill the congressional seat formerly held by Chicago Mayor Harold W a s h i n g t o n . T h e governor set the special election for Aug. 23, 1983. The primary will be held July 26. Filing periods for Republican, Democratic and in­ dependent candidates will be from May 31- June 6.
