spotlight u/hite House performance Mary Martin and John Raitt co-star in a celebration saluting the history of the American musical theater -- with works by composers ranging from Jerome Kern to Stephen Sondheim. Itzhak Perlman will be master of ceremonies for the fourth program of the series, "In Performance at the White House," airing Wednesday, June 8 on PBS. (Please check local list­ ings for time.) The program will be performed outdoors on the south lawn of the White House before President and Mrs. Rejagan and their invited guests. Continuing the series' tradition of introducing young artists preparing for their legendary "break" toward stardom, thp starsvwill introduce working professionals with television, the­ ater and motion picture credits. Among the songs to be performed by Miss Martin and Raitt will be "I'm Just a Cockeyed Optimist," from South Pacific; "Hey There," from "The Pajama Game," and "Anything You Can Do" from "Annie Get Your Gun."
