She will be present to crown her successor at the national pageant to he held at the Sheraton hotel, Bal Harbour, Fla., from Oct. 12 to 15. Prizes, travel, cash scholarship, and a modeling career await the winner of the 1984 Miss Illinois Teen All American pageant which Will be held at the Marriott O'Hare hotel, Chicago, Aug. 5,6 and 7. Teenage girls between the ages of 14-18 are eligible to enter the state preliminary. Judging is based on scholastic achievement, personality, beauty of face and figure, poise and appearance and judges' interviews. There is no talent competition. Squires of Eimira, N.Y The bride elect graduated from McHenry Community high school in 1976 and is presently a free lance musician and music teacher. The Reveren^ Gordon Smith performed the 11 a.m. nuptials at an altar decorated with two beautiful floral arrangements. Special music for the occasion was a rendition of "The Lord's Prayer" by John Marco. The bride is the daughter of Edward and Marion Kane of Marlborough, Conn. She and her family are former residents of the McHenry area . Alvian and Marie Smith, 2910 Fritz road. Harvard, 111., are the parents of the bridegroom. The bride was gowned in an old- fashion style, ivory dress, lavished with lace. Her head was graced with a matching hat; and a veil and bouquet of ivory and salmon silk roses com­ pleted the look. Susan Kane of Marlborough, Conn, served her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride s cousin, Beth Kane of Alrington Heights, 111. and Laura Christensen of Hebron, Conn. The groom's niece, Lisa Ahrens of Sharon, Wis. was the junior bridesmaid; and her sister, Kristine Ahrens, also of Sharon, was the flower girl. Attendants were attired in floor length dresses of light blue lace, banded at the waist with satin rib­ bons. They carried bouquets of silk salmon, light blue and ivory roses, accented with satin ribbons. John Kane of Scottsdale, Ariz, assisted the groom as best man. June 10: Egg salad sandwiches on whole wheat bread, potato chips, lettuce, custard, piece of cheese, milk.
