This is a national center dedicated to the well being of the mentally retarded. • Nineteen-year-old Sharon Ainger, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Ainger, of Harvard, was crowned McHenry County Dairy Princess Monday night amid the applause of 220 farm men and women at the 29th annual- McHenry bounty Dairy banquet. Sharon has a background in the McHenry area. Her grandmother is Gladys (Shepard) Ainger, formerly of Ringwood, and her great- grandmother ia the late Ruby Shepard, also of Ringwood. contest̂ beSdTat Andre's Steak House, Richmond, were sponsored by the McHenry County Dairy Promotion Council (DPC), climaxing a month- long series of events boosting milk and other dairy products. Linda Borhart, 19, of Huntley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Borhart, was chosen first runner-up. Romona Dahle, 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Dahle of Harvard, was chosen second runner-up. Mai Bellaira served as master of ceremonies for the dinner. ̂Miss Ainger is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, with brown hair and blue eyes. She is a sophomore at Northern Illinois University-DeKalb, where she is 'limi " for" * in nullum. An outstanding student at Alden- where she was valedictorian for the Class of 1962, she continues her scholastic achievement at NIU where she to also involved in the University chorus, the All- University band and the Neptune Hall newspaper. Sharon has built a herd of 12 dairy cows and heifers through 10 years in 4- H. Dairy, swine, arts and crafts and. foods have been her leading 4-H projects. In addition, she. has par ticipated in 4-H dairy judging and was cbdBen to the county judging team one year. She also has won state 4-H dairy project honors six times and the county blue ribbon in dairying twice. She has won a state project trip to the National 4-H Dairy Conference last October.
