' There's a show in Louisville, Ky., that requires the clothing be made by hand." A variety of formal fashions is accep­ table to judges of the competition. "Some people wear pant-suits and even knickers," Unda says. "I think the judges like skirts better -- they're men judges. The judges don't seem to like the western look -- it isn't elegant enough. "I'll be carrying a parasol--that hasnt been done before," she adds. "You usually want to try to keep both hands free in case the sheep starts jumping around, but I don't have to worry because Ginger is usually pretty good about that." Ginger will be wearing a black blanket, bows and wrap-around stockings. "It's hard to think of something different for the sheep," Linda says. "I put-stock­ ings on Ginger this year and people already are copying that." Linda is entered in )1 classes of the sheep show at the McHenry County Fair in addition to Ladies Lead. This year's is scheduled for J p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7. at Hansen Pavilion.
