"We used to have a gentleman whose job it was to sit and blow bubbles," Kreutzer said. "He loved it, and everybody in the crowd loved him." The most requested song is A German Medley, consisting of old German songs. "If they've heard it before, they'll usual ly request it the next time we play for them," she said. The Huntley Senior Citizen Koncert Band will be featured at the McHenry County Fair in a noon performance on the grandstand on the first day of the fair, Wednesday, Aug. 4. The band works strictly for donations to help defray travel and occasional equip ment replacment costs. "We never charge for a performance because if we do, that makes us a profes sional group," Kreutzer said. "But we'll never refuse whatever people want to donate -- even if it's lunch."
