NEW VILLAGE TREASURER NEEDED At the village board meeting held Tuesday evening, £ug. 9, it was decided that applications for the position of treasurer will be accepted until Sept. 20. GET WELL WISHES We hope that by now Mickie Swedberg is resting comfortably since her fall. We wish you a speedy and tall recovery, Mickie. ANNUAL PICNIC Thirteen ladies were on hand for the Ladies of the Lake's annual picnic held Thursday, Aug. 4, at noon, at the beach house. The club supplied the chicken, and each lady brought a dish to pass. After eating all that delicious food, the women enjoyed some games with each one winning a prize. The ladies have been visiting lately; some visiting Mickie Swedberg and some visiting Harriet McNamaca, who is doing quite well and was glad to hear from everybody. The ladies' next meeting is Sept 8, which will be a regular meeting. Visitors are welcome. Registration schedules have been released for both of McHenry's High School campuses. ̂ West Campus A*; \ • • Registration for all students who will be attending McHenry Com­ munity High School West Campus is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 23, from 8 a.m. through 4 p.m. at West Cam­ pus. A packet of materials which will be necessary for registration has been mailed to each prospective student. Any student who has not received materials in the mail by Monday, August 15, should call the school, since forms contained in the packet will have to be filled out and sign Also included in the registration packet is an alphabetical schedule of registration times. Students are asked to follow the schedule in order to avoid long de lays in reg i s t e r ing . Any student who is unable to register at the designated time on Tuesday may come to West Campus for late registration Wednesday, Aug. 24, Thursday, Aug. 25, or Friday, Aug. 26, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Course selections which were made last year will not be held for any student who fails to register by Friday, Aug. 26. Student fees will be collected at registration. The basic fee for each student is $50. Students will also have the opportunity at registration to make a number of optional purchases including school insurance, parking permits, yearbooks, color picture packages, and athletic passes. Freshman and transfer students are reminded that they must bring their physical examination and im­ munization records, signed by a doctor, to registration. An orientation to West Campus will be held Wednesday evening, Aug. 24, at 7:30 far all freshmen and transfer students and their parents. The program will include a brief at West and to answer any general questions about the school. That program will be followed by an op­ portunity for a guided walk through the building and by refreshments and conversation in the cafeteria. Ad­ ministrators and counselors will be available to answer any individual questions a student or parent may have. Enrollment at West Campus in­ cludes all students, freshmen through seniors, whose parents live west of Route 31 and within district boun- dries. Any students who fed a mistake has been made in building assign­ ments or who have moved during the summer or who are not sure which building they should attend should call West Campus as soon as possible. The first day of school for all West Campus students will be Monday, Aug. 29. Attendance is required for all students. All students should report, to their homerooms on that day by 7:30 a.m. Bus transportation will begin on this day. Students will attend all classes on a shortened schedule. Dismissal will be at 10:30 a.m. Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 30, classes will be held at the regular times from 7:30 a.m. through 2:30 p.m. There will be no\ school Labor Day, Monday, Sept. & East Campus All students attending East Campus for the 1963-84 school year should participate in registration Monday, Aug. 22. Parking is available at the rear of the building: therefore, due to the limited number of spaces students are urged to carpool if at all possible. The entrance for registration will he through the north gym doors on Waukegan Road. Parents -lie welcome to accompany their children at registration. Students whose last names start with the following letters should report at the designated times, and they are asked not to come prior to their assigned time. Morning -- 7:30, A-Bi; 8, Bj-Bz; 8:30, C-D; 9, E-F; 9:30, G; 10, H-I; 10:30, J-K; 11, L; 11:30, M-Mi. Afternoon--1, Mj-N; 1:30,0-P, 2,Q- Se: 2:30,Sf-Sz; 3, T-We; 3:30, Wf-Z. During registration, the school nurse will collect physicals from entering freshmen and student! new to McHenry East High School. State law requires that all entering fresh­ men must submit a completed form prior to the start of Any student who has not turned in a completed physical examination will not be allowed to register for school without arrangements satisfactory to the school nurse. Official appointment cards stating the date of the exam will be the only alternative accepted. Also, students should make sure all Immunizations are complete and up-to-date. Students without completed immunizations will not be allowed to register. This year the basic student fee is $50. This amount covers the cost of textbooks and other fees. A private insurance policy is also available at option. Athletes are required to carry insurance, but there is a waiver available for those who qualify. The first day of student attendance will be Monday, Aug. 29. East will run a mini-schedule for all freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors. The day will begin at 7:30 a.m. and end at 10:30 a.m. Busing will be pronged.
