The Friends of the Library had a table loaded with older books and paperbacks. President Margaret Karas 385-4934 Louise Hipwell, helping with the selling, treasurer Peggy Glus and her husband doing the hauling, and with gophers Bob Glus and Brian Deeke, the Friends' table was emptied and replenished several times. The L.C.LA. now has additional . moneys for Lakemoor improvements, and the Friends and others also gained. Mike Milinac of Lilymoor was named "Athlete of the week" for his ability as a running back for the McHenry Warriors football team. Six residents applied for the position, and an are appreciated for showing their support and interest In the village. As with all forms of progress, good and bad seems to be the end results. I have had some favorable comments about the larger type* It seems to be easier to read, especially for those with troubled sight, so that is definitely a plus. Since tne type is larger though, space is taken up more quickly, I have been told that our neighborhood columns, such as the Wonder Lake news, will not always be in the Wednesday paper. If there is not enough room on Wednesday, it will then appear in tne Friday edition. So just keep looking, we'll be there somewhere!
