They will be open for business at 9 a.m. and plan to be sold out by 1 p.m. in the Nativity Lutheran Church basement, at 3506 E. Wonder Lake Rd. Proceeds from this event will go to the needy family and food pantry fund. This is a chance to help a worthwhile cause and at the same time to delight your sweet tooth a little bit! EXERCISE CLASS Again this fall, an exercise class is being offered for any of us who seem to have put on a few inches in the wrong places after a summer of macaroni salad! It began Nov. 7, but you can join in any Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, at Nativity Lutheran Church, for a small charge each session. Proceeds will go to the church. It will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and babysitting is available at a nominal fee. If you need further in formation, either call the church at 653-3832 or Eileen at 728-0240. If you begin now, you will definitely be able to wear that great outfit for the coining holidays! COSTUME WINNERS The Halloween party held at the Wonder Lake American Legion Oct. 30 was attended by approximately 50 children. The costumes were all great, which Anne Sowers 653-9549 made for some hard decisions on the part of the judges. After much deliberation, the winners in all categories were an nounced. In the 1-4 years okl group, Kristi Gale won dressed as a lady bug and Jocylin Brans as a princess. The frog costume of Tim Wedin and Jeffi Gillette's Ewok outfit won them prizes in the 5-8 years old group. Jennifer Fejedelem was the winner in the 9-12 years old division. Those winning prizes for the most original costumes mn: Amy Stolle, monster; Kevin Minsk?, clown; Scott Gale, crayon; and Jessica Peterson, an angel. Silver dollars were awarded as prizes; and refreshments were served to all present. The next American Legion function will be the Open House on Veteran's Day, Nov. 11, beginning at 8 p.m. The buildina dedication wilfalsobehddand then dancing and refreshments will be available. GARDEN CLUB October found the Wonder Lake Garden Club down to a skeleton crew, with members traveling to enjoy the fall colors, or staying close to home, "fluing" - a feast or famine situation. Due to Thanksgiving, the Nov. 10 meeting will be the only one in November. There will also be only one meeting in December, because of the Christmas holidays. The meetings are held at the Lakemoor Municipal Building, starting at 8 p.m. and are open to the public. The starting date for the collection for FISH has been changed to Dec. 1.
