She was born Dec. 11,1916, in Chicago and had been I a McHenry resident many •years. Surviving are her husband Francis; a daughter, Mrs. Keith (Carol) Peters of Spring Grove; her mother, Mrs. Kathryn Kucharski of McHenry; and three sisters, Antoinette Ver- dung of Sanibel Isle, FL, Geraldine Scibor of Chiocago and Josephine Hamielec of Madison, wl. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Kucharski. Funeral services were held Monday at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, Libertyville, EL, with interment in Ascention Cemetery, Libertyville. If desired, memorials in her name to the McHenry Area Rescue Squad would be ap preciated. HOENES Donald R. Hoenes died Sun day, Oct. 30 at the Grand View Hospital, Ironwood, MI. He was born in Chicago, the son of Julius and Irene Hoenes. On Feb. 2, 1946, in Liber tyville, - IL, he married, the former June Wickersheim, who ly resides at Star Route x 276, Marenisco, MI 49947. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. John (Katherine) Jaeger of Libertyville; and two nephews. Mr. Hoenes .graduated from Lane Tech, Chicago, in June, 1935. He was the proprietor of the "Old Bridge Tavern" in McHenry from 1961 to 1969, when he and his wife moved to Lake Gogebic in Michigan as permanent residents. Private services and cremation were held. Reinhardt of Pistakee Highlands, M< died Thursday, Nov. 3, at Noi west Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, IL. She was 68 years old, born in Chicago July 31, 1915, the daughter of LeRoy and Gertrude (Lignell) SneQ. Mrs. Reinhardt lived in the McHenry area about 28 years, having come from Chicago; and retired two years ago after 20 years of service as a teller at McHenry State Bank. She was a member of the McHenry Business and Professional Women and the McHenry Grandmothers Club. Adams, 57, a former resident - and businessman of Fox Lake, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, in the Tucson, AZ. Veterans Hospital. He was born in Chicgo Feb. 28, 1926. Mr. Adams had been a resident of Tucson the last 10 years and was the owner and operator of the Frank Adams Sand & Gravel and Excavating business in Fox Lake and west Lake County for many years. He was a WW n veteran, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps; and a police officer in Fox Lake for 13 years. Survivors are his wife Rose Adams of Tucson; two sons, Rich (Mary) of Johnsburg and Michael of McHenry ; his rather Gust Adams of Tucson; three brothers, Ernest "Red" (Mary) of Tucson; Richard (Shirley) of Waukegan and Gus (Helen) of Round Lake. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Rachel; his former wife, Jan Adams of McHenry; and many other relatives. Funeral services and in terment were held in Tucson. She was 66, born Oct. 25, 1917 in Chicago, to Mr. and Mrs. John Victor; and moved to McHenry in 1953. Her husband Clarence H. Glover, preceded her in death May 30, 1974. Surviving are two sons, tfred of Zion, IL and Robert J. (LHVR) of Lake in Jta Jt£i))a, IL daughter, Iwrs* *^Va ayne Miss Maurie Taylor, a teacher in McHenry Community High School for 28 years, died at her home at 3614 W. Maple Street Monday evening, Nov. 7. Death ended a long illness at the age of 70. Miss Taylor was eminent in her field. She earned inclusion in Who's Who in American Education and served as president of the McHenry County Education Association. Miss Taylor also was secretary of the Illinois Teachers Association. She was born Oct. 11,1913, in Carbondale, HI., the daughter of Ralph and Ruth (Nolte) After graduation Southern Illinois Unive: studied at the Sorbonne, France, and the University of Colorado. Her Master's degree was received from the University of Chicago. After teaching for (me year in T zabetbtown, 111., she came to iwHenry in 1935. Her teaching career here was interrupted for three years during which time she was employed by Scott Foresman in Chicago. She returned to MCHS in 1958 and remained until her retirement from teaching U) _ In 1980, she was named Woman of the Year by the Business and Women's Club. She was one of the organize! of the MCHS National ionor Society 25 years ago and for several years was its sponsor. The chapter was named in her honor in 1982. Memberships in addition to thoee mentioned include the First United Methodist Church, the McHenry Woman's Club and the National Education Association. She also served on the board of the McHenry County Youth Service Bureau and was a volunteer for FISH (Friends In Service Here). She enjoyed writing, and one of her poems was selected by the celebrated novelist, Frances Parkinson Keyes, to be included in her book, A Treasury of Favorite Poems. Miss Taylor also wrote text books on languages and physical education. Survivors are a sister-in-law, Mary (Taylor) Goettinger; two nieces, Sandy Padilla and Tony Will and one nephew, Scott Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Kenneth, July 22, 1963 and Warren, Oct. 29, 1966. Visitation will be from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the George R. Justen k Son Funeral Home, after which the body will be removed to the First Methodist Church for visitation until 7:30 p.m. A service will follow. Burial will be in Car bondale, IL.
