MICHAEL PETERSON Standing before an altar beautifully decorated with flowers, in Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, McHenry, the former Antonette Marie Weyland and Michael Gregg Peterson were united in holy matrimony. Pastor Roger Schneider of ficiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony, Sunday, Nov. 6. Appropriate vocal selections with piano accompaniment were provided by M. G. Ryan, a cousin of the bride. Russel and Francene Weyland, U17 W. Northeast Shore Drive, McHenry are the parents of the bride. The bridegroom's parents are Guy and Thelma Peterson, 1000 Fortress, McHenry. The bride wore a white satin gown lined with taffeta. The bodice of Alencon lace, accented with pearls, was designed with a highhanded neckline, featuring a Schiffli embroidery motif on the illusion yoke; and a natural waistline. The long, leg o' mutton sleeves were enhanced with lace appliques on the high puff and also at the wrist. The A- line skirt flowed into a chapel length train. To complete the look, a waist length veil of fine net was secured to a wreath of live flowers adorning her hair. Attending her sister as maid of honor was Cyntheea Weyland of McHenry. Bridesmaids were a sister-in-law of the bride, Linda Peterson of McHenry; and close friends, Beth Fox of McHenry and Lisa Jones, for merly of McHenry, presently residing in Syracuse, N.Y. Attendants were attired in burgundy qiana floor length gowns, styled with spaghetti chiflon and lace jacket. The jacket was fashioned with long, chiffon sleeves and a lace bodice with a peplum waist. Handling the duties of best man was Gary Gilpin of McHenry. Groomsmen were Rich Fenske, James Mclnerney and Ben Mennella, all of McHenry. The mother of the bride chose a dusty rose silk crepe formal, with long sleeves, a folded, pleated bodice highlighted with a high, ruffled neckline, and accordian pleated, slit front skirt. A robin's egg blue formal with fitted bodice, spaghetti straps, full accordian pleated skirt and flowing chiffon cape, was the choice of the groom's mother. A reception for 200 friends and relatives was held at the Johnsburg Community Club. Out-of-town guests included the bride's aunts, Mary Weyland of Richardson, TX and Delores Riggs of Melrose Park, IL; her cousins, Judy Hjarpe and daughter Bobbette Hjarpe of Piano, TX and Kristi Ann (Weyland) Finnan of Rhinelander, WI; her father's friends, Arno and Genny Kunz of Birmingham, MI; and her aunt and uncle, Flo and Sam Root of Warrenville, EL. - Also attending from out-of- town were Mr. and Mrs. Terry Kyner of St. John, IN; Mr. and Mrs. Gary Hansen of Thein- sville, WI; and Mr. and Mrs. William Gendrick of Honey Creek, WI. Hie newlyweds are residing in Ingleside, IL, and because of a new job with no vacation time available now, they will take a delayed honeymoon. The bride graduated from McHenry High School in 1981; attended McHenry County College one semester; and is presently a meter reader for Commonwealth Edison. The groom graduated from Maine North in 1972; attended the University of Colorado in Boulder two years; and is employed as a driver for McHenry Truck Lines. The new Mrs. Peterson was honored at three bridal showers. One for 20 of her family mem bers, a great aunt and cousins, was hosted by her aunts, Delores Riggs of Melrose Park and Florette Root of Warren ville. Another included 20 of the groom's family members and close friends, and was given by her sister-in-law Linda Peter son, at the Whispering Hills Community Club. The third, at the bride's home, was hosted by her sister Cindee Weyland for 30 close friends of herself and her mother.
