JOHNSBURG Johnsburg schools join schools throughout the nation at this time of year when parents visit their child's school to par ticipate in what has been an annual nationwide observance since 1921. The highlights of year's program in Johnsburg ac cording to Kim Perkins, prin cipal, are a series of events which include "Staff Recognition Day*' celebrations on Nov. 16 and Parent-Teacher conferences Nov. 16-18. American Education Week was begun in 1921 by the American Legion and the National Education Association, organizations which encourage local active citizen the improvement of education. The observance this year will seek increased awareness in the community of the need to work as partners in shaping chilren's and society's future through quality education.
