Police said there was no forced entry to the home, where equipment belonging to Mitchell A. Maneval was stolen. County police are looking into the theft of tools and two stacking tool boxes from the garage of a home at 1122 W. River Terrace, McHenry. Hie burglary was reported by Betty Tuft, of that address. Judy McLain, 4511 Hickory Way, McHenry, called the county police when she discovered that someone had stolen a stereo unit and video game cartridges from her home. Frank Friesl, 615 Kent Road, McHemy, reported the theft of a van from his driveway. The vehicle was later found abandoned in a field in Lake County.
