Cesarean film Memorial Hospital for McHenry County, Woodstock is sponsoring a showing of the film "A Shared Cesarean Beginning" Monday, Nov. 28, at 8 p.m., in the new conference room at the hospital. The film documents the ex perience of a young couple as they prepare for, and share together the cesarean birth of their second child. The documentation of the birth and the spontaneity of the young parents makes the events of the delivery room touching as well as informative. Anyone in terested is invited to attend. Hawaiian honeymoon planned will be 'at home' in Lincoln Park, Chgo. A two-week vacation on the romantic Hawaiian Islands was in the honeymoon plans of newly married Mr. and Mrs. Michael R. McDonagh. Hie couple was united in holy matrimony Friday, Nov. 11, before the Reverend Joseph Bracken, during a 5 p.m. ceremony in St. Dismas Church, Waukegan. The church was decorated with white gladioli; and to further enhance the mood, special music included the entry song, "The Wedding March," "The Lord's Prayer," "Ave Maria," "Endless Love," "Sunrise, Sunset," and "Looking Through the Eyes of Love," performed by organist Tina Schumann, violinist Angela Martin and soprano Rita Schuenemann. The bride wore a gown of gardenia (ivory) organza fashioned with a bodice of Chantilly lace, featuring a Queen sweetheart neckline, high, standup ruffle collar, and long sheer sleeves accented with ruffles. The A-line skirt fell from the empire waist and was edged with ruffles sweeping into a shepherdess back with tiers of lace ruffles down the back. Her head was covered with a mat ching Chantilly lace mantilla. Newly married Mr. and Mrs. Randal N. Mauch are making their home in Lincoln Park, Chicago, following their ex change of wedding vows Saturday, Nov. 19. The bride, the former Diane R. Mason of Lincoln Park, Chicago, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Mason of Northbrook, IL. Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Mauch of McHenry are the parents of the bridegroom. Father William Malloy presided over the 6:30 p.m. nuptials in St. Norbert's Church, Northbrook. The altar was adorned with floral arrangements; and aisle bows decorated the ends of the pews. The bride wore a gown of white peau de soie. The traditional look was accented by an empire waistline, high neck and long fitted sleeves. The dress was gracefully detailed with Alencon lace and pearls. A matching fingertip veil com pleted the ensemble. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Debbie Lindh of Vernon Hills, IL. A long gown of rose crepe styled with a flared peplum and an Alencon lace trimmed neckline was the choice of the groom's mother. Following the ceremony, a reception for 200 friends and relatives was held at Chevy Chase Country Club, Wheeling, IL. Later, the newlyweds em barked on a wedding trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The new Mrs. Mauch graduated from Southern Illinois University, with a B.S. degree in Social Welfare; and is employed by Dar Allen Rein surance. Her husband graduated from Marquette University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration; and is employed by Allstate Rein surance. Schmitt-Steinsdoerfer repeat wedding vows in St. John the Baptist Church, Johnsburg To complete the look, she carried a large bouquet of silk orchids, white roses and stephanotis, laced with pearls. Serving her sister as maid of honor was Debbie L. Lodes of San Diego, CA. The groom's sister, Barbara Anderson of Wonder Lake was the bridesmaid; and a niece of the groom, Beth Ann Anderson of Wonder Lake, was the flower girl. The two maids were similarly attired to the bride, in cranberry organza with a Queen neckline, long full sleeves and ruffled hems sweeping up to the left side. They had Victorian brimmed hats to match and carried small cascades of silk burgundy and pink roses in a diamond shape, with green leaf background. The flower girl wore a floor length ivory gown of Chantilly lace over organza with a high Victorian collar, Chantilly lace yoke and Bishop sleeves. The ruffled, tiered front cascaded over the hoop skirt and flowed into a train. Her silk flower bouquet echoed the treatment of the bridesmaids' except for a pink leaf background; and her head was graced with a wreath of ivory, pink and burgundy ribbons. The best man was John Heard of St. Louis, MO, and the groomsman was Michael Mikenas of Lombard, EL. The mother of the bride wore an ivory chiffon, sleeveless, V- neck bodice lavishly etched and swirled with bugle beads and gem stones; and a circular skirt. A mauve chiffon over organza floor length gown with a wide tucked, pleated bodice and long sleeves was the choice of the groom's mother. They both had corsages of silk burgundy and pink roses. A reception for 150 guests was held at Maravella's in Fox Lake, EL. The. bride graduated from Waukegan East High School in 1978 and is a sales represen tative for a photography com pany. The groom graduated from McHenry Community fiigh School West Campus in 1975; Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, EL, with a B.S. degree in 1980; and is a territory manager for a rental supply company. They are making their home in Milwaukee, WI. * All of the silk flowers for the wedding were hand made by a friend of the bride. St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg was the setting for the Nov. 19, 3 p.m. sacrament uniting in holy matrimony the former Mary Beth Schmitt and Lee A. Steinsdoerfer. The Reverend Leo J. Bartel presided over the solemnization, assisted by the bride's uncle, Deacon Eugene Frost. _ The bride is the daughter of Harold C. and Elaine Schmitt, 3715 N. Spring Grove Road, Johnsburg. Andrew and Mary Steinsdoerfer, 3608 W. Clover, McHenry, are the parents of the bridegroom. The bride wore a gown fashioned of chiffonette over satin. The bodice was styled with a Chantilly flounce, drop shoulder and gathered Chantilly forming the short capped sleeves. The hemline was accented with a flounce of Chantilly lace, continuing around the edge of the chapel length train. The fitted cummerbund of self fabric banding the waistline was enhanced with a bow and back streamers. Satin bows highlighted-the over skirt lace flounces. Her fhree-tiered, waltz length, embroidered lace trimmed mantilla was secured to an open crown of lace and pearls, embellished with tiny sprays of pearlized buds. Attending her friend as maid of honor was Peggy McGee. Bridesmaids were sisters of the bride, Julie and Traci Schmitt of Johnsburg; the bride's sister-in- law, Sandi Schmitt of McHenry; sisters of the groom, Lynn Congdon and Beth Preston, both of. McHenry; and Mary Rabelhofer of Spring Grove. The flower girl was Annie Harrison. The maid of honor wore a floor length burgundy lustrous polyester dress with a ruffled U- shape neckline and short puffed sleeves. A bow sash at the waist added the finishing touch. The other attendants " were identically attired to the maid of honor but in dusty rose. Each wore a hairpiece of baby's breath. The best man was the bride's brother, Mark Schmitt of McHenry. Groomsmen were another brother of the bride, Brad Schmitt of Johnsburg; Greg Schaefer of McHenry; Mike Schroeder of Onarga; Bob Hollenbeck of Virgil; the groom's brother, Mark Steinsdoerfer of Oak Park; and Bill Meyer of Harvard. The ring bearer was Joshua Meyer of Harvard. Hie mother of the bride was gowned in a periwinkle blue polyester knit formal with an attached blouson overlay of chiffon. A plum, two-piece, floor length dress of polyester, highlighted with a draped jacket was the selection of the groom's mother. A reception for 240 guests was held at the Johnsburg Community Club. Special guests of honor on this memorable day were the groom's grandmother, Mrs. Helen Bauer; and grandparents of the bride, Mrs. Catherine Schmitt and Mr. and Mrs. Earl J. Turner. Upon their return from a week-long honeymoon in Acapulco, Mexico, the newlyweds will reside in McHenry. A fine time was had by all and when the bus was ready to return to the hotel, the national delegates did not want to bid farewell. As the evening came to a close, all stood and sang "God Bless America" and the Polish national anthem, "Brothers, Poland Is Not Lost." Liberty Post 188 of the Polish Legion of American Veterans recently celebrated its third anniversary. Over 115 people attended an anniversary dance at the post home, "Liberty Hall", 1304 Park St., McHenry. Polka and ballroom music was provided by a band, totally comprised of members of the post. At the same time, at th£ Ramada-O'Hare Hotel, national executive meetings were being held, and Liberty post sponsored a bus from the hotel to the post home. National officers of the P.L.A.V. from New York, Massachusetts, Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin and New Jersey had an opportunity to sample Post 188 and McHenry hospitality.
